Assign to Affiliate during Import

Can you assign these new users to a certain affiliate during the import?
I need to import lists of about 25 user to assign to a certain User as an Affiliate.

Can you possibly assign an entire Group to 1 Affiliate?
Ex: All users in group “Team” are an affiliate of “League”

Is it possible to customize the ” Send new users their password by email.” email to include the affiliate link?

Possibly a customized link like: url.com/join?rel=username with a little code?

This way I can more easily explain to have their users / Teams how their players are to sign up under them.

Can you provide any advice on where a developer can add a “referrer” option for the import?
    Maybe from the class-groups-user-import.php file?

I really need this feature, so need it developed.
Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Bo,

If you check the documentation here in the second to last paragraph it says

    Direct is a referrer

Enable this option if you want to use the Direct affiliate (id #1) to record those new affiliates who join when no other affiliates have referred them.

So the league must have id #2 or something greater.
So the best and more secure way is for a player to register through his team’s affiliate link. That way you will be sure that each player belongs to the team he likes/wants.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hey George,

I’m going to have over 10k teams signup in a week. Each of them is going to have all their players sign up. I have to get someway to automate this or do a bulk-change.

If the “League” is the direct – then wouldn’t all the “Teams” that I’m importing automatically be under the League?
I have “Direct referrals > Store direct referrals” selected, but not sure if this works the same way.

    Hi Bo,

I’m sorry but it is not supported. However, it is an interesting feature that could be added in a future release.
You can do this manually, by editing each affiliate and setting the referrer there.

    Kind regards,
    George
