If I have a forced matrix setup 5 x 5, how does the system treat an affiliate who brings in more than 5 affiliates. Please explain.

Thanks

    Hi George,

Good news. Everything is now resolved and working as it should. I hope this info can others.

When intergrating AE with WPLP, one has to be sure to make the following changers or it won’t work.

Affiliates > settings > Affiliate URL parameter name and change it to “ref”.

Simple right? Yes when one knows what to do.

    Good Luck

    Hi john,

Basically when an affiliate A refers a new affiliate or a new referral in general, it will be “charged” to him. In addition, the new affiliate will be put right below him meaning affiliate A will be the new affiliate’s referrer.
So, the affiliate A will get the commission for registering a new user as set under Affiliates > User Registration.

    Kind regards,
    George

I’m sorry about the many questions, but I need one more thing cleared up. Ok based on my 5 x 5. If an affiliate A brings 6. does he receive 1st tier commission for the personal sale or does the 6 get placed in the next available slot, giving the beneficiary affiliate (k) first tiet commission as though he brought the 6th affiliate in.

If in fact affiliate (A) does receive first tier commission an that 6 affiliate get placed several levels benefit affiliate (A) how does that affect the commission structure?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi john,

Affiliates Enterprise plugin supports only the depth of a forced matrix. No matter how many affiliates does the first affiliate bring, they will be directly under him.
Depending on the number of tiers you set, the system will decide the depth of the paid commissions.
    For example:
    Affiliate A refers Affiliate B, C, D, E, F, G.
If Affiliate A refers another affiliate H, the new one will be under Affiliate A.
If Affiliate B refers a new affiliate I, this new affiliate will be under Affiliate B.
If Affiliate I refers a new affiliate J, this new affiliate will be under Affiliate I.

If let’s say you have set your number of levels to 2 and affiliate J gets a referral, affiliate J will get a commission and Affiliate I, Affiliate B will be granted a tier commission.

    Hope this helps you.

    Kind regards,
    George
