Login “Blocked” by Chrome / IE “(HTTP 403 Forbidden)”

Hi,

When attempting to login using the link https://www.iwantonetrend.com/affiliate-area/ my affiliates are often receiving a message “Blocked” using Chrome or “(HTTP 403 Forbidden)” if using Internet Explorer.

I can recreate these messages using their logins however I can go to http://www.iwantonetrend.com/wp-admin/ and login without issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Antonio,

I’ve just cleared the cache and it seems to be working – is there an exclusion I can add in to stop WP Super Cache from caching the Affiliate login pages?

    Thanks

    Hi Antonio,

I just realised that the error appears if the user get’s their username or password wrong. So it seems that the error handling for the affiliates login isn’t trapping this. Is there something I need to configure?

    Thanks

    Thanks Antonio,

It does seem to be intermittent. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. It always seems OK from the ‘standard’ WP login screen ( http://www.iwantonetrend.com/wp-admin ) so I think I’ll just have to get everyone to login from there. I have to admit that some of the users aren’t very IT literate. It’s just odd that when a user see’s the blocked or 403 message I usually get the same with my login when logging in from the affiliate login link.

Do you know what could cause the errors we’re seeing? Is caching the usual cause?

    Thanks

    Hi Antonio,

You can create an affiliate account from the menu by hovering over Affiliates >> Become an Affiliate but if you need higher privileges I can create an admin account if required.

    Thanks

Thanks I had not seen the link.
I have created an affiliate account (itthinx), and I can login from the affiliate-area and from the wp-login correcty using Chrome.
Maybe you have a problem with cache or with the account that you are using.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi Siemon,
I’m trying to create an account to test the affiliates-area login form, but I can not do it, maybe you don’t have the registration opened from Settings->General.
Please give us a demo user to test the registration form.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
