Updates and new Affiliates extensions

The new 2.4 releases of the Affiliates plugins bring several improvements and fixes, including better filter sections, improved notifications in Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise, along with new options and views for tiers in the Enterprise release.

The Enterprise package now also includes Affiliates MS which allows to run a centralized affiliate system on a WordPress Multisite Network.

Six new extensions bring features including conditional shortcodes, shortcodes that show related product information for referrals, an integration with MailChimp and more.

Updates

The new 2.4 releases of the Affiliates plugins bring several improvements and fixes. All versions have improved filter sections that highlight active filters, this makes it easier to relate filters and the results shown. As the filter settings are sticky, it’s good to be reminded of what filters are active when you come back to a screen.

Affiliates Pro and Enterprise now have a more flexible way of notifying about referrals according to their status. This is useful if you only want to send out a notification when a referral has been accepted, which normally means that the corresponding order has been paid for.

Affiliates Enterprise provides a new short code [affiliates_tiers] which renders the tiers related to an affiliate. The shortcode has several options that can be used to customize the output. See the documentation section on Shortcodes for more details.

I have the free wordpress affiliates plugin, but realise to pay my affiliates automatically I need ‘affiliates pro’. However I am not sure if I need ‘affiliates enterprise’ for what I am offering – can you help me make the right decision for my needs.

Great thanks – is pro affiliates and upgrade or do I need to uninstall ‘affiliates’ and ‘purchase and install pro affiliates’ and start all over again?

If you switch over to the Pro version, you substitute the Affiliates plugin with Affiliates Pro. It will maintain your existing data, you don’t need to start from fresh.

Does the enterprise system show an affiliate how many sub affiliates are under them?

So the product doesn’t work and now I have to pay for the privilege of highlighting this to you. Mmmm… I will move on and clock this up to just a bad experience. An interesting service standard!

Yes, the “pretty” links don’t seem to work and will take me to what seem random URLs ranging from the home page to 404s.

Hi, please try changing Affiliates->Options->Affiliate URL Parameter Name, sometimes certain words create conflicts with other plugins.
      cheers

    Hi Antonio,

I’m not sure if it happens only to me or to others as well. Each time I tried to update the plugin I am seeing the following error message:

“An error occurred while updating Affiliates Pro: Update package not available.”

Could you check it for me please? Thank you in advance.

      Hi,
Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. You must update it manually.
