Affiliates Import

Affiliates Import is an extension for Affiliates, Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise. It allows to import affiliates in bulk from a text file. You can use this tool to migrate from another affiliate system or to import batches of affiliate accounts in general.

This tool works with plain text files to import affiliates. An easy to use and spreadsheet-ready file format is assumed, where user data is provided on a line with information like username and email separated by tabs.

During a bulk import, new users can be notified by email, providing them with their username, password and login link to the site.

    Hello,

I think there is a bug in this plugin, when I try to import from csv it’s create 2 affiliate user with the same wordpress user. 1 with active status & 1 with pending status

I found the source of this problem, you must set the Affiliate Registration status to active for this to work. If you set it to pending, it’ll make 2 user affiliate with the the same wordpress user. 1 with active status & 1 with pending status.

You should mention this prerequisite in the plugin documentation.

        Hi Aziz,

Thanks for pointing out the issue. You are right, this needs to be fixed. Although one would assume that imported affiliates should be active, even when you have them set to pending it shouldn’t create two entries. We will fix that.

        Cheers

There is a new problem, when using the import the user, the notification is not sending any email about they’re account creation. both user and admin.

When you import an affiliate there should be no notification to the admin so that’s correct. The plugin will definitely send out notifications to imported affiliates if the option to send them their password by email is checked. Usual reasons why they don’t get an email is because the emails are sent directly from the web server instead of SMTP and are either interpreted as spam or directly rejected (some web servers are also flagged as sending spam so I would check your server’s IP is not blacklisted).
