I am getting an error with PHP upgrade to 7.2 and it says fatal error for affiliate pro. Can you tell me what I should do?

      Hi Todd,

We don’t see any issues with the latest releases but I see that your access has expired in 2017. Please renew your access to updates for the plugins and the upgrade will work. We have a really awesome update just out!

      Cheers

  2. Chazz Layne February 7, 2019 at 6:47 pm #

What is the latest release version number? You guys really need to be publishing a changelog to the documentation or support pages, and at the very least start including the version number on the product pages. This is practically mandatory on even free products, to not have it on a paid item like this is absurd.

    • Kento March 5, 2019 at 8:53 pm #

      Hey there,

Our latest is 4.0.0 out since yesterday – changelog’s been included since years and appears along with the update notice in the Plugins section. Simply click the link for the plugin entry.

      Cheers!

I have an issue with affiliate pro in totals tap when i click on export button or mass payment file button then it create a emty window without any information about referals and affiliates

    • Kento December 24, 2018 at 1:54 pm #

      Hi,

The export will not display anything in the new window but generate a file that is downloaded. Please check your downloads folder where you should see the file generated. For additional info see Totals in the documentation page. If you need further help, please make sure to post a request in the premium support forum here: Affiliates Pro.

      Cheers

I noticed that users that have already registered with my site as a customer are then UNABLE to register as an affiliate with the same email address…… is their a workaround to this?

    • Kento October 25, 2018 at 10:05 pm #

      Hi,

If they already have an account, they need to log in and can then sign up as affiliates, too. You can’t create an account with an existing email address – this is not specific to the Affiliates system but restricted by WordPress itself. You can see more on setting the registration up for the system on http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-pro/setup/settings/registration/ – if you use the generated affiliate area page, it will already contain the content that follows this logic.

      Cheers

How do I set a Payment section for my affiliates, so that they can choose a bank from a list, and add their bank account details from there?

Hi. you need me that user can register and have his ACCOUNT where he can select the publisher and put on his page, and on the other hand, the user can put the banner he wants to promote. what plugins should I buy

  8. Pavel December 6, 2017 at 6:43 pm #

    Hi.
I want to buy Affiliates Pro for WooCommerce ( now I am use Affiliates WooCommerce Integration Light.).
Before it I have 2 questions:
    1) Now I use “Default referral status: pending”, and I should manually check every referral check for payment and change status. Its waste my time. Is the Affiliates Pro can do it automatic (if payments ok, then status= Accepted)?
    2) Price for Affiliates Pro – its one time payment or every year billing?

    • Kento December 13, 2017 at 2:37 pm #

      Hi Pavel,

Thanks for asking! For 1) it is done automatically in Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise and 2) it’s yearly billing with 50% discount on renewals.

      Cheers

      • Pavel December 13, 2017 at 5:24 pm #

        Hi, Kento.
        Thanks for reply.
About point 2: if I pay 1 time and not pay for renewals – its will be downgrade (to Affiliates WooCommerce Integration Light) or no?

        • Kento December 13, 2017 at 5:59 pm #

          You’re very welcome Pavel 🙂

Regarding #2, no it would not downgrade. You could continue using the advanced integration, but you would not have access to premium support or updates though. I’d just recommend to keep your system updated given that with a running affiliate program, it should be paying for itself.

    Hello,

I purchased affiliates PRO and need to get it integrated with woocomerce on my WP site.

When I select “Install” in the plugin settings area = I get the following error.

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

Is there a way to download the woo commerce integration directly?

The URL it takes me to is:

  10. Melissa September 7, 2017 at 11:06 am #

    Hi there
I have Affiliates Pro on our website.
Is it possible to delay affiliate pay time? We have a 30 day money-back guarantee on our products. Normally we pay our affiliates in bulk on a set date once a month. However, if we have paid out affiliate commission and the customer requests a refund after this payment – we are out of pocket. Do you have any suggestions on how we can deal with this? Someone mentioned only paying 80% and holding back 20% of the commission for the following month. Please let me know if this is possible with Affiliates Pro or whether you have any other suggestions.
    Thanks!
    Melissa

    • Kento September 11, 2017 at 11:12 am #

      Hi Melissa,

I would recommend to make affiliate payments after a prudential timeframe according to your refund policy. If you grant refunds up to 30 days after purchase, you could apply an affiliate payment schedule that will leave enough time for any potential refunds to be taken into account. For example, pay accumulated affiliate totals up to the end of August not before the end of September. You can handle this easily with Affiliates Pro by requesting accumulated totals up to a certain date – see http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-pro/totals/ for details on managing totals please.

I hope that helps, please don’t hesitate to ask on https://www.itthinx.com/forum/affiliates-pro/ where you have premium support and our team will be happy to help you further with any questions.

      Cheers

If you want to edit this, you can edit the page and set the shortcodes in div, tabs, … if you are using for example Visual Composer. But really you don’t need to change the css.

  12. Stefaan April 25, 2017 at 9:09 am #

    Hi there,

A quick presales question. I see you have an integration between Affiliates Pro and Events Manager. Can I specify for each event if it will generate a commission and which type of commission (flat fee, percentage) that is? I don’t want my affliates to gain a commission for each event, only for specific events.

    Kind regards,
    Stefaan

    • Kento April 25, 2017 at 10:46 am #

  13. Pavel February 11, 2017 at 5:55 pm #

Hello, please advise me on your products. I need the following functionality for the mlm site:
    1) We are going to sell goods to customers registered on the site. So there is needed the opportunity to order goods for users.
    2) They buy it and sell them. After selling they note on the website that they have sold the goods.
    3) Then we pay everyone who sold a product % of product cost (everyday). Preferably automatically at the same time.
    4) In the admin panel can be seen when, who, and how many were granted money and the final balance of the user.
Is it possible to do with your product?
    Thank you for answer,
    Pavel.

    • antonio February 13, 2017 at 11:09 am #

      Hi Pavel,
If every product is associated to an user, then you could use the Affiliates Products plugin (you need Affiliates Pro). So when the productA is sold, and this is associated to the affiliateA, then affiliateA gets a commissions.
Remember that the Affiliates plugin doesn’t process the payment, you can export the referrals (commissions) to a Paypal mass payment file that you can use.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi there

Quick question: if a buyer clicked on an affiliate link but eventually doesn’t purchase online but calls through to place the order is there a way that we can track and still attribute the sale to the relevant affiliate? Also is there a way that we can integrate Affiliates Pro with sendloop?

    Many thanks.

    Kind regards

    Cris

    • antonio December 14, 2016 at 12:28 pm #

      Hi Cris,
      You could:
1.- Create the referral (commission) manually from Affiliates->Referrals.
2.- Or, if you visit the affiliate’s link before creating the order, then the commission is added to the affiliate. (you can get the affiliate’s link from Affiliates->Manage Affiliates).
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  16. Loja Tudo Saudável December 2, 2016 at 6:05 pm #

Why affiliates don’t remove the commission if an order is not paid or is on hold? O have to go through each of the sales of each user that is supposed to be paid, and remove manually the commissions which are from on hold or canceled orders, really not viable.

    • antonio December 4, 2016 at 6:18 pm #

      Hi Loja,
with the Affiliates Pro plugin and the Affiliates Woocommerce Integration Pro (included in Affiliates Pro) you can synchronize the referral status with the order status (in Affiliates->Woocommerce Integration section you can enable this).
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi there,
With the dizzying array of plugins available on this site, I’m starting to get confused about what I need. Here’s what I’d like to do:
    1) Use Affiliates with Woocommerce
    2) Have new customers be signed up automatically as Affiliates
    3) Have a welcome email explaining the affiliate program be sent after a week or so

Is all of this included in Affiliates Pro already?
Does Woocommerce Integration Light do this?
What other plugins may I need to achieve this?
Is there a welcome email that is sent?
Is there a way to edit this email?

    Thanks!

    • antonio December 2, 2016 at 5:59 pm #

      Hi,
1.- With Affiliates Pro you have included the Woocommerce IUntegration Pro.
2.- You need the Affiliates Users addon (don’t included in Affiliates Pro).
3.- With Affiliates Pro you can configure a welcome email when a new affiliate is joined (this email is sent at the moment).
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  20. Thomas B August 17, 2016 at 12:06 am #

    Hi,

I am uncertain which to purchase from the Affiliate line.

I am thinking Pro, although, I am not sure as to which add-on is necessary and wanted to confirm.

We sell to retail customers, would like for them to register as an Affiliate and have tailored made compensation for them such as a product or coupon for them referring 3 or more people.

We have Affiliates who would represent Wholesale Clients where they would receive percentage commission on any purchase by the Wholesale Client and thought Affiliate Permanent would be perfect to ascribe to the Wholesale Account as to not miss any commission that is earned.

I did not see in the videos anyway to modify the Affiliate Registration form for our Representatives that have to submit specific information, is that possible?

Can we have two forms, one for Retail Customers and one for Representatives with information relative to each requirement?

If we buy Affiliate Pro can we upgrade to Affiliate Enterprise or is that an upgrade and not an additional full purchase?

Hope you can get back to us soon we would like to purchase tonight…thanks.

    Thomas

    • antonio August 17, 2016 at 4:55 am #

      Hi Thomas,
You can upgrade from Pro to Enterprise when you want. In your downloads page you will have a coupon with a discount (pro2enterprise)
If you need to have different commissions per affiliates, you can set this attribute affiliate per affiliate, or you can use the Affiliates Group plugin.
With the plugin you can set different rates, but you can not set the minimum of 3 people. To do it, you need to create your own custom method using the Affiliates API.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Hi…just a quick question please. We are using Affiliates and Affiliates WooCommerce Integration Light and everything is working great. We’d like to include a line on the order receipt emails that are emailed to us and that are generated by WooCommerce if the order was from an affiliate or not and who the affiliate was. Is this possible with any of your Affiliate versions?

    Thanks!

    • antonio August 12, 2016 at 8:50 am #

      Hi Todd,
The Affiliates Pro version includes Notifications. The plugin doesn’t add this line, but you will have the option to receive an email when a new commission (referral) is generated.
      Kind regards,
      Antonio B.

  22. Roberto Carlos July 12, 2016 at 5:32 am #

Latest version of the free and the pro are compatible with woocommerce version 2.1.12? I haven’t yet managed to update, which we are in the process, and I haven’t updated affiliates because I’m afraid it won’t work anymore.

It would be nice if there was some graphics and statistics so that the affiliate could see hits, visits and refferals day by day, month-a-month, etc…

    • antonio July 12, 2016 at 7:28 am #

      Hi Roberto Carlos,
Really the Woocommerce 2.1.12 version is too old, I can not assure you that work 100%. I recommend that you update WooCommerce.
Relating to the graphics, in the Enterprise version you have available the [affiliates_affiliate_graph] shortcode.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

I use woocommerce afilliates free plugin and I have the following issues:
    – Referrals are as accepted even if the payment is no tmade (order stays as cancelled or pending). SO I need to check every single order.
    – Order number in the refferrel is using the post number and not the otder number
    – Can I update to the affiliates Pro directly? Will I loose data and configuration?
    – How can I close all referrals for a single affiliate? (eg: just paid him)

    • antonio July 11, 2016 at 7:04 am #

      Hi Roberto Carlos,
      With the Pro version:
      – Your referrals status will be synchronized by state orders.
      – You can update and your data will not be deleted (be sure that you have NOT selected the ‘Delete all plugin data on deactivation’ option in Affiliates->Settings)
      – You can close referrals from the Totals section.
In both versions (light & Pro), the order number is the post id.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  25. Kay June 4, 2016 at 12:10 pm #

I have a presales question. I’ve read the documentation, but just want to make sure that this plugin will do what I need it to before purchasing. Here’s what I need:

    – Multi-currency support for affiliate payouts (Canadian and US dollars)

    – Ability to set affiliate rates per affiliate, per product. (ie. affiliate #1 gets 20% for product ABC, but affiliate #2 get 40% for the same product).

    – Will this work for recurring subscriptions? (ie. a payout to the affiliate monthly for a monthly payment subscription)

    – If I choose to change the % for an affiliate down the road, let’s say to a lower rate, will it only apply to subscriptions purchased in the future, or will it also apply to current subscriptions?

    – Can you set how long “cookies” are good for once someone clicks on the affiliate link?

    – Can you set lifetime affiliates (the customer is tied to the affiliate for life)?

I think that’s it for now.

    Thanks,

    Kay

    • antonio June 6, 2016 at 8:17 am #

      Hi Kay,
I assume that you are using the Woocommerce Integration.
      – Referrals are created based on the order currency. Remember that Affiliates doesn’t process the payments.
      – You can set custom rates por products and per affiliates. When you edit a product, you can set its custom rate, but not a custom rate for each affiliate in this product.
      – Yes, this works with subscriptions. You can set a limit.
      – The new rate should be applied.
      – Yes, you can set the cookie timeout.
      – If you want lifetime affiliates, you need Affiliates Permanent.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

      thanks for your help

      Marco

      • antonio December 6, 2017 at 5:29 pm #

        Hi Marco,
Using this custom method you can do it. You need to change the rates in the code. Important, I have not tested the code with the last Affiliates version.
        Kind Regards,
        Antonio B.

  27. Ben May 4, 2016 at 4:43 pm #

    Hi,

Does the Affiliates Pro plugin set a cookie, on user arrival, to remember the user and where they were referred from (should the user close their browser and return to purchase later)?

    Thanks

    • antonio May 5, 2016 at 6:11 am #

      Hi Ben,
Yes, the plugin uses cookies to remember the visit. You can configure the cookie timeout, and the user can close the browser and return to purchase later if he uses the same browser inside the timeout.
If you need permanent associations, we have available the Affiliates Permanent extension.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

      • Simon January 18, 2018 at 5:03 pm #

Does the cookie save the IP address? Is there any anonymization?

        • antonio January 19, 2018 at 3:47 pm #

          Hi Simon,
Yes, the recognition system is based on cookies. If you don’t want to use the cookies, you can use the woocommerce coupons: the affiliates can share their coupons, so when an user uses the coupon, then the affiliate gets a referral.
Please have a look at the coupons documentation page section.
          Kind Regards,
          Antonio B.

When a new referrar is created from a sale, the order id should be saved in the description field. Not your case?
Please about support questions use the forums.
      Kind Regards,

I have Affiliates Pro installed on my membership site.

New users will pay a monthly subscription of $10.
They also have the option of upgrading to a reseller for a one time payment of $50.
(Purchasing Reseller unlocks the Affiliates Pro Affiliate signup page)

Once they have upgraded to reseller status, they can earn 100% commissions ($50) on all new resellers they refer.
They do not get paid on any monthly subscriptions.

I cant figure out how I can configure Affiliates Pro to do this.
    Can it be done?

    • antonio February 22, 2016 at 7:54 am #

      Hi Will,
you can use the Recurring Referrals option in Affiliates->Woocommerce Integration.
About support question, please use the forums.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

      • will February 22, 2016 at 11:29 am #

        Hi Antonio,
        thanks for your reply.
I don’t need to track the monthly subscriptions as I won’t be paying commissions on them.
I just need to track the upsell.

My membership site uses Optimizemember (S2 framework). I’m not using Woocommerce.

I tried to post in the forum but it wouldn’t let me even though I was logged into my itthinx account.

do I need to set up another account for this?

        • antonio February 24, 2016 at 12:03 pm #

          I Will,
sorry, the S2Member integration is no longer available.
You could use Groups with Woocommerce Groups and Woocommerce Subscriptions, as alternative.
          Kind Regards,
          Antonio B.

    Hi
I want to know how can this plugin help me in tracking sales from my website (woo commerce enabled)
I want affiliates to have a dashboard on the site where they can see their commission growing.
Let me know if this can help.?
    thanks

  33. Tein February 2, 2016 at 6:01 am #

    Hi,

Does Affialites Pro support a multi-currency woocommerce store? Will it be able to properly keep track of payouts/commissions even though customer purchase payments are made in different currencies?

    Thanks.

    • Kento February 2, 2016 at 10:05 am #

      Hi Tein,

Yes, unless you are running an extension which is not compatible. I would recommend to first try out the free version Affiliates to make sure everything works as expected and then decide on using Pro. What are you using to support multiple currencies?

      Cheers

  34. Rudi January 21, 2016 at 2:24 am #

Is there a German language version or at leat, is it possible to translete the pages for the affiliates?

    • Kento January 21, 2016 at 9:56 am #

      Hi Rudi,

Yes, the German translation is included and although the generated affiliate area is in English, you can simply adjust the text and use a German version to your liking, the affiliate area is a normal WordPress page and you can customize it or add additional pages. See also Pages in the documentation for more info on that.

      Cheers

      • Andre August 14, 2019 at 10:12 pm #

Sorry but the generated page only has a short code ([affiliates_dashboard]), there’s no text to translate into German, or am I missing something?
I didn’t find text in those template files either. So where is it and how can we adjust it to display the partner area in German?

        • Kento August 17, 2019 at 3:02 pm #

The plugin is already fully translated into German, anyhow, the translation templates are found in lib/core/languages lib/ext/languages (specific translations for Affiliates Pro) and lib/eext/languages (specific translations for Affiliates Enterprise) where they can be customized as desired. The translations are found there and the .pot templates can be used with a tool such as Poedit to derive additional or customize the existing translations.

          • Andre August 17, 2019 at 3:18 pm #

I’m using formal German (Sie) as WP language setting and the German translation of Affiliates Pro definitely doesn’t change from English with this language setting.

            • Kento August 17, 2019 at 5:03 pm #

For formal German using “Sie”, you just need to copy affiliates-de_DE.po to affiliates-de_DE_formal.po and affiliates-de_DE.mo to affiliates-de_DE_formal.po in the folders I’ve indicated before and you will have the translations instantly.

              • Kento August 17, 2019 at 5:08 pm #

Just to make it very clear for anyone looking for how this is done, with the plain Affiliates plugin, assuming standard WordPress folders, the only language files that would need to be copied are those in wp-content/plugins/affiliates/lib/core/languages.

With Affiliates Pro it would be wp-content/plugins/affiliates-pro/lib/core/languages and wp-content/plugins/affiliates-pro/lib/ext/languages.

With Affiliates Enterprise it would be wp-content/plugins/affiliates-enterprise/lib/core/languages and wp-content/plugins/affiliates-enterprise/lib/ext/languages and wp-content/plugins/affiliates-enterprise/lib/eext/languages.

    • Kento January 21, 2016 at 9:51 am #

      Hi Carl,

Yes that is possible, please see User Registration in the documentation for Affiliates Pro.

      Cheers

If I have multiple products, is it possible to have an affiliate program for only one of the products and not the others? For example, I sell product A, B & C through my website. I want to pay a 15% commission only for the sale of product A. If an affiliate send a person to my website through the affiliate link, and the person buys products B & C but NOT A, then the affiliate will not get a commission.

    • antonio July 31, 2015 at 10:39 am #

      Hi Sergey,
with the Woocommerce Integration (available in Affiliates Pro/Enterprise) you can set different commissions per products. So you can set 0 to products B and C.
Enable the option in Affiliates->Woocommerce Integration and set the default rate. Then in the products B and C if you set 0 as commissions then the product is excluded for it.
      Kind regards,
      Antonio B.

Hi, does this affiliate tracking platform support the following:

    -supports iframe pixel placement
-supports the passing of transaction ids and subids
    -backend to track partials/clicks

    • kento July 15, 2015 at 11:33 am #

      Hi Kevin,

See my comment on this topic please where a solution for that is outlined. Affiliates Enterprise supports campaigns and provides stats for those, too. Also you can try the free version where you can see the visit and hit stats which are available.

      Cheers

    Hi,

We have the Affiliate plugin for WordPress. I have two affiliates who’s accounts expired. Thus, they are no longer visible anywhere in the plugin. Is there a way I can reactivate an expired affiliate?

    • kento July 8, 2015 at 2:45 pm #

      Hi Sergey,

Yes, you can edit the affiliate and remove the date restriction – you have two options under Affiliates > Manage Affiliates to show those:

      [x] Include inoperative affiliates
      [x] Include removed affiliates

      Cheers

    Hello Antonie,

By referrals do you mean the customers they refer?

    Thanks,

Sorry, by ‘referrals’ I mean ‘commissions’.

    Hello,

    I hope you are well

I need to manually approve new Affiliate applicants – currently its automated and any new applicant is automatically added into the program, how can I change that?

    Can this be done?

    Thanks,

    Alec

    • antonio June 18, 2015 at 6:23 am #

      Hi Alec,
sorry Affiliates are automatically approved, but you could set the default referrals status to pending.

  44. Angie June 17, 2015 at 1:09 am #

Hi! I wondering if is possible setting the commissions like this: If the purchase’s total without shipping is greater than $1000, the commission would be 10%, otherwise (if the purchase’s total is $1000 or less) the commission would be 15%. And, for specific affiliates, increase the percentage (for example, 15% and 20%, again, depending of the purchase’s total).

If this is posible, which version allow this setting?

    Thank you.

    • antonio June 19, 2015 at 10:42 am #

      Hi Angie,
you need to create your own custom method using the Affiliates API.
      Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi Antonio,
    Thanks for your reply.

    Hello…
i would like to know, is it normal for free account not to have ‘Optional’ tab on Affiliate installed plugin? And also not able to fix the referral commission rate? And by default, how much is referral commision is?
    Thank you for your help.

    • antonio June 8, 2015 at 2:27 pm #

      Hi Luna,
sorry I don’t know what is the ‘Optional’ tab. You can set the registration commission rate in Affiliates->User Registration. You need install an integration to generate commission for example when a Woocommerce order is created, having then the corresponding submenu.
      Regards,
      Antonio B.

      • Luna June 9, 2015 at 2:20 am #

        Hello Antonio,
        Thanks for your reply.
I tried your Affiliates->User Registration and installed integration plugin : EDD and WP Affiliate Integration. I have it fixed, no drop down to choose as in the video. What i have is flat amount for new user? or new customer? It says :- “When an affiliate refers a new user, a referral is recorded, granting the affiliate this amount in the chosen currency.”
The tab is “Options” not “Optional” (sorry my bad :-)) as in the video link: http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/affiliates-pro/videos/
by the side tabs in admin, I saw in the video under setting a default referral rate, Affiliates, Manage Affiliates, Visits & Referrals, Referrals, Options and settings. While what i have is, Affiliates, Manage affiliates, Visits & Referrals, Affiliates & Referrals, Referrals, Total, Settings, User Registration, Add-Ons.
Under setting i don’t have:-default referral amount calculation. Which the drop options with Referral rate. I would like to have this.
Please advice how to get it.
I am using Easy Digital Download.
I have EDD Paypal adaptive payment- if it is useful or not? Although, i didn’t install yet.
P/S: If it is too complicated, is it possible to share with me a link of videos or anything i would be very happy.
        Thank you for your help.
        Luna

        • antonio June 10, 2015 at 10:23 am #

          Hi Luna,
the video is not based in the last version, it’s because the Options submenu doesn’t exist.
Sorry, but the integration with Easy Digital Downloads is no longer supported. If you are using the github version, the commission is set in Affiliates->Settings:Commissions.
          Regards

  47. Alex June 6, 2015 at 12:17 pm #

Does this work same as =>
    https://www.spree.co.za/en/referralreward/customer/

    • antonio June 7, 2015 at 4:13 pm #

      HI Alex,
not quite. The affiliate has a custom link to share, and you can set a fixed amount as commission when the user makes an order. But by default the commissions are generated not only for the first order and no minimum per order.
Using the Affiliates Pro API you can create your own custom solution to set commissions only for the first time with a minimun.
      Regards,
      Antonio B.

      Hi Alissandra,
It does not seem a problem with Affiliates. You can create a new administrator from database. This post can help you.

Hi.. I’m looking for a simple affiliate program to run with my website I already have…. Is this possible? Forgive me if this sounds stupid… I am very new to all this and don’t know much about linking affiliate to existing sites or do I have to have a new one to work with affiliate programs

      • antonio June 28, 2016 at 2:33 pm #

        Hi Gwen,
When do you want to generate commissions ?
        – When a new user is registered after he visits the affiliate’s link.
        – And/or when a customer buy something after he visits the affiliate’s link.
        Kind Regards,
        Antonio B.
