Hiya, I’ve installed Pro but currently the Affiliate links that are being generated aren’t working. How do I change the URL parameter? I’ve changed the “affiliates” part to “af” – but currently it’s generating the following: http://www.mydomain.com?af=3 – but this doesn’t work, only when I change the question mark to /af=3 does the link work. How do I get it changed? At the moment it’s emailing my customers with the question mark one so the affiliate link they get doesn’t work. Thanks

      Hi,
please give us an url to have a look.

    Hi,

Quick pre-sale question. Does the affiliates PRO let the affiliate enter in their PayPal email address themselves.

From what I have read, the admin must do this manually?? Surely not?

    Please explain further,
    Thanks.

    • kento February 5, 2015 at 7:49 pm #

      Hi,

Thanks for asking – the affiliates can enter their PayPal email address themselves on their profile page if needed. There’s a shortcode that allows to place a field to do that, see this documentation page for more details, in this case one would use:

      [affiliates_affiliate_profile show_attributes="paypal_email" edit_attributes="paypal_email"]

This would be useful if the affiliate wants to use another email address for payments than the one used to register the affiliate account. Otherwise, the latter would be used.

      Cheers

We have Affiliates WooCommerce Integration V1.3.5 installed and want to update to the latest version by buying a new license. I can’t quite figure out what product to buy. Can you confirm? Thanks!

    • kento February 3, 2015 at 5:56 pm #

      Hi Sharon,

Thanks for asking, it’s Affiliates Pro – note that you will have a discount applied automatically if you place the order with the user account used for the previous order.

      Cheers

    Hello,

The actual website that handles all sales will be iframed into a page with a different domain. Here is an example: http://16creations.com/dealfinder/ So my website, which handles all sales will be iframed into a page under a different domain. When customers click anywhere on the website they will be clicking on my website. Let me know if this is possible. A affiliate website I work with used this type of affiliate to track there affiliates. There affiliate coding looks like this

    http://www.rk.com/main.htm?id=philwrw

    • kento February 5, 2015 at 11:28 am #

Ok thanks for explaining that, this will most likely be problematic as the cookies that are used to recognize referred customers will probably not work as they would if the site were accessed directly (i.e. without the iframe and directly on its own domain). See for example this discussion Setting cookie in iframe – different Domain.

      • Phillip February 5, 2015 at 2:33 pm #

Thanks for your response. Instead of iFraming my website into a different domain, if I made copies of my website with different domains would this work? I’m totally new to how affiliate tracking works, any information would be great. I really want to use your product & make it work. Thanks

        • kento February 11, 2015 at 10:15 am #

          Hi Phillip,

This wouldn’t work, not unless a lot of customization were done. I’ve seen that you indicated that you’re not going to use the system and we have processed a refund for your order. Thanks for considering using it, unfortunately in this case it’s not a match.

          Cheers

Hello, It would be my website iFramed into a wordpress theme’s page with there own domain. Could I add the affiliate code to my websites domain iframed into the word press page.

Example: mywebsites.com/There affiliate code. Customers would type in there domain & be taken to the website. Once a customer clicks anywhere in the website, the customer would be clicking the iframed portion of my website with the affiliate code added keeping track of any orders. Let me know & Thanks!!

    • kento February 2, 2015 at 10:42 am #

      Hi Phillip,

The affiliate parameter needs to be present where the affiliate links to the site that actually handles the sales. Do you have a development version of the site to see how this looks like? It might be useful to better understand what you’re trying to achieve.

      Cheers

  6. Phillip January 29, 2015 at 4:42 am #

    Hello,

I’m very interested in purchasing your product. I want to offer my customers a copy of my website, but with a different domain. I would iFrame my website into a wordpress page with there own domain. Is it possible to add the affiliate code to there domain, which would keep track of all the orders through there website.

    Thanks

    • kento January 30, 2015 at 9:32 pm #

      Hi Phillip,

I think this should be independent, i.e. have the affiliates link to your site as usual and let the system keep track of the orders that were referred by affiliates. The site that you’re offering wouldn’t be related to the actual order process, I understand that this would just be a demo that you provide to potential customers, isn’t it?

      Cheers

  7. Tom January 21, 2015 at 6:06 pm #

    Hi Kento,

I have a WP site running your affiliate plugin, with the Woocommerce plugin of yours too. But when an affiate creates an account > then a customer buys through their link > nothing appear within the Referrals section?

This has happened around 50 times now on my site and if it wasn’t for me providing the affiliate with their own coupon to use, I would have lost track!

How can I fix this/make it work.

I am happy to upgrade to the PRO if this will make it work?

    Thank you in advanced.

    • kento January 26, 2015 at 11:19 am #

      Hi Tom,

This sounds like you don’t have an integration installed. Please install the Affiliates WooCommerce Light integration. You don’t need to buy Pro for that, the system only needs to have the integration installed and activated.

      Cheers

  8. Kven January 16, 2015 at 3:27 am #

    Hi,

We are using your “Affiliate coupon” plugin along with Affiliate pro. After the plugin automatically creates new coupons for new affiliates, if we change/edit the newly created coupon to another coupon code, the referral does not get assigned to the affiliate. The referral gets assigned to “direct”.

Does it mean that after affiliate coupon generated a coupon code for an affiliate, we cannot edit the coupon code to a new coupon code?

    Thank you

    • kento January 17, 2015 at 5:35 pm #

      Hi Kven,

If you change a coupon code that is assigned to an affiliate, you need to update the code in the affiliate entry. See the Coupons section for details on where to do this please.

      Cheers

  9. Christopher Allen January 5, 2015 at 4:01 pm #

The site is just a staging are.
I want to find if your product works the way I want.
Is the customer able to order from the site they are on? That is, joescookies.com is an affiliate of ours, do people do the transaction without leaving his site, or does it forward an order to our site?

    • kento January 7, 2015 at 8:16 pm #

      Hi,

Simple, please give the free version a try first. You can use it with the free WooCommerce integration and will have a fully functional affiliate system, then you can decide if the features that come with Pro would be useful for you or not.

The way it works is that someone visits an affiliate’s link, comes to your site and places an order. The affiliate is credited with a referral which holds a commission amount proportional to the net order amount. The order must be placed on your site, i.e. the site where you have your shop installed. The affiliate’s site doesn’t handle the sales, it just uses affiliate links to point to your site.

      Cheers

        Hi Kento,

Thanks. Was about the buy the Affiliate Coupons but noticed that it does not generate “Fix amount discount” coupons? For examples, $5 off for every order. Does it generate this kind of coupons, instead of “Percent or Product Percent”?

        Thank you

        • kento November 27, 2014 at 7:15 pm #

          Hi Keven,

That latest version now does allow to set the coupon type as Cart Discount which would allow you to generate coupons that grant 5$ off the order. Thanks for asking, we need to update the description!

          Cheers

            • kento January 7, 2015 at 10:14 pm #

They would have to access the affiliate area, the coupon codes can’t be included in the registration mail.

    Hi Kento,

Is it possible to give my affiliates store credit/commission they can only use to purchase products on the website rather then paying them directly into there bank accounts?

If this is possible can it be a dynamic total which would allow them to purchase some products and that reduces the amount of credit they have or would I have to manually provide them coupon codes each month etc as their commission?

    Cheers

    • kento November 19, 2014 at 7:40 pm #

      Hi,

You would have to do that manually based on the accumulated unpaid commissions. If you use a plugin that adds store credits, then you could combine it but it would still be a manual process.

      Cheers

    • kento November 17, 2014 at 11:11 am #

You’ll need to adjust the CSS rules for that. If you have a look at the HTML generated and the related CSS rules, you can use ul { list-style:none; }.

  17. Vitaly November 15, 2014 at 8:29 pm #

    Hi there,
Is it possible to make a specific referral rate per product with fixed amount instead of percentage?

    For example:
Product #1 (Product referral rate = 5 USD)
Product #2 (Product referral rate = 8 USD)

    I have already set:
    Affiliates > Settings
    – Default referral calculation : Referral Amount Method
    – Default referral calculation value : Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates

    Thanks.

    • kento November 16, 2014 at 6:33 pm #

Hi, there’s this repository with an implementation for amounts instead of rates.

      • Vitaly November 17, 2014 at 5:17 am #

        Hi Kento,
There’s no set up description in Readme file.
Could you please give me the instruction how to install this implementation.

        Thank you.

        • kento November 17, 2014 at 9:57 am #

          Hi Vitaly,

Once you have installed and activated the plugin, a new method is available which you can use under Affiliates > Settings where you will choose:

          – As the Default referral calculation : Referral Amount Method
          – And for the Default referral calculation value : ACM::products_amount

          Cheers

    Hi,

Is there a way to export into csv format a report that shows Affiliate name (ID) and associated orders? I see that you can export a total by Affiliate but would like to export the individual order numbers associated with the Affiliate as well.

    Thanks

    • antonio November 11, 2014 at 8:56 am #

      Hi,
you could use Affiliates Export Referrals plugin as reference and create your custom version.
      In class-affiliatesexport.php if you change:
      – Line 63 add:
      $order_id = "";
      – Line 66 you can add:
      $order_id .= $referral->post_id . ",";
      – Line 90 change:
      $output .= "\n"; to $output .= $sep . $order_id . "\n";
You will have an order’s id list in the last “column” of the file.
      cheers

Hi Kento! Is this plugin fully compatible with the latest version of

    1. WordPress
    2. Woocommerce
    3. Subscriptions for Woocommerce

We really need to now if it works flawlessly with the subscriptions plugin.

Our subscription plans are set up as products: http://www.cryptoalerts.net/product-category/subscription-plans/

If we create “affiliate” banners for each subscription… will it work as with simple products?

      Hi,
yes, this plugin is fully compatible with Woocommerce Subscriptions (http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/)

Hi! I found this page because we are looking for a way to integrate paypal mass payments with the affiliate payment system.
In the documentation for the Mass Payments API it said that the payments needed to be reconciled with a CSV file.
With the use of your plugin will the payouts take place automatically once a month without the need to manually update the Mass Payments system?

  25. dan October 16, 2014 at 3:07 am #

Hi, hope you can help… Maybe a silly question but I can’t find the answer anywhere…. Ive just installed affiliates pro to work with woo commerce…. I have se up a test affiliate and been given the following url:-

    http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com?affiliates=2
    URL Parameter: ?affiliates=2

I have then purchased a product from the url http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com?affiliates=2 and the affiliate is not receiving the referral – instead the referral is being given to “direct” – is this correct?

Also, how to i correctly set the links up to other pages using the referral above – if i just add /shop to the above for example the page just redirects to my homepage like this:-

http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/?affiliates=2%2Fshop the only way I can get the link to take me to the shop is by editing the link like this:-http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/affiliates=2/shop – ideally i don’t want to do this as the affiliate will get confused if they have to edit their own link (remove the ? and change with a /)

If I try and use the above “fix” to direct to a product I have created – as in not the standard shop page – i get the error page not found:- http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/affiliates=2/product/dual-build-shaving-plan/

Finally – Am I able to give an affiliate multiple affiliate links?

    Thanks
    Dan
PS I have not installed any short code onto my website – just created an affiliate and tried using the direct link.

    • kento October 21, 2014 at 10:10 am #

      Hi Dan,

Have you checked the troubleshooting section in the documentation? It’s possible that you need to adjust caching settings if the links aren’t recognized and referrals credited to “Direct” – see http://www.itthinx.com/documentation/affiliates/troubleshooting/wp-engine/ excluding URL parameter might be necessary with other caching mechanisms as well even though your site isn’t hosted on WP Engine.

Regarind the links, you can link to virtually any page but the format must be correct (the example you give is not correct because the form of the URL parameter is not valid). Try to use the [affiliates_generate_url] shortcode while logged in as an affiliate for example, see http://www.itthinx.com/documentation/affiliates/shortcodes/ for details please.

      Cheers

    Hi Kento

Just 2 quick pre-sale questions before i buy a licence for the affiliates pro.

    1. Do you offer any refund gaurantee, in the case that my theme doesn’t work with affiliates pro in the way in should do you offer a 7 day guarantee or anything like that?

    2. I have someone that wants to send me some business/traffic but they want to do it to the individual product pages, so does your software allow people to use their affiliate link but to direct people to an actual product page rather than just the homepage all the time?

    Thank you your help.

    David

  27. dan October 7, 2014 at 1:37 pm #

I’m testing the plugin in my sandbox woocommerce site. I find that when I use a link with an affiliate, it does exactly what I expect and assigns the sale to the appropriate affiliate. But when I just use the default link with no affiliate, it is still assigning the sale to an affiliate rather than to DIRECT. Is there something I’m missing?

    • kento October 7, 2014 at 4:21 pm #

      Hi Dan,

That would be correct as the system still recognizes the customer as having been referred by the affiliate. There is a setting Referral Timeout that allows to determine the amount of time during which a purchase is attributed to the referring affiliate under Affiliates > Options. So after a potential customer has visited an affiliate’s link to your site, there is a certain time during which any purchase is still attributed to the affiliate and a referral is credited.

      Cheers

      • Dan October 7, 2014 at 4:37 pm #

Of course. That makes complete sense. Thanks!

  28. Karen October 6, 2014 at 2:27 pm #

A Pre-sale question: We will be using woo-commerce subscriptions to sell our products on a subscription basis, but also want to offer an affiliate program where each new customer is automatically signed up as an affiliate, and receives 20% of the sales from their referrals. So all recurring monthly transactions under the subscription program will also be credited to the original affiliate.

Will purchasing Affiliate Pro, Affiliate Users and s2Member Integration accomplish this for us? Do we also need Affiliates Permanent?

    Thank you.

    • kento October 7, 2014 at 5:07 pm #

      Hi Karen,

Only Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Users, you don’t need the s2Member integration but the WooCommerce integration (anyhow, both are included with Affiliates Pro).

      Cheers

    Hi,
Can you please explain how your affiliate program would work with this currency switcher, as it bills in different currencies http://aelia.co/shop/currency-switcher-woocommerce/
    Thank you

    • kento October 6, 2014 at 9:09 am #

Hi Andrew, I haven’t tried that plugin but as long as it integrates correctly with WooCommerce, when an order is placed and a referral should be credited, the referral will be holding the same currency as the related order. You can test that using the free Affiliates plugin.

    • Victoria December 5, 2014 at 10:47 am #

Hi Andrew. Did you get to test that? I’m interested in doing the same thing, but I don’t have woocommerce or currency switcher set up yet. Thanks for any information you can share!

Firstly, I love your software, just what I have been looking for.

I have a question about the setup of an affiliates shopping page.

    1. I have a Book Store that has their own shopping cart (not sure what they are using) they want to sell my book and become an affiliate, not requiring stock in their store which is the case at the moment. Do I have to say that they must use the Itthinx shopping cart?

    2. I have a small theatre company that wants to sell my book on their web site and become an affiliate. They haven’t setup a shopping cart yet so this should be easy to implement. Will they be able to sell other products on their shopping site that are their own. Therefore only receiving affiliate payments from my products?

    3. I have a printer who is drop shipping my book at the moment and they have setup a signal page for my one and only book on their web site (more coming). At the moment, I can send my affiliates to this page and they place a code that gives them a wholesale discount. I can go to this site and I place a code and I only have to pay the S&H fee. I then invoice the purchaser. Can I automatically send an order to the printer with your setup?

All this is very time consuming, as you could imagine. This is why I am liking your system.

Can you see a work around that would suit these scenarios.

Here’s another scenario, a lot of my customers don’t like using a Credit Card over the internet, they prefer to send a PO (purchase order) from their company/institution. Do you have any idears how we can still take this order and still have them go through the shopping cart and the affiliate still gets their commission. (I send out the book with an invoice attached. I am planning to integrate the accounting software called Xero to tack orders and invoices). Can I use a PO payment option on affiliate’s sites as well as my own?

Thank you, I hope you can help.

    • kento September 12, 2014 at 2:05 pm #

      Hi Tony,

Thank you very much for your kind comment on the software 🙂

      Regarding your questions:

#1 You would simply need to set up an affiliate account for them and have them use their link to your site where you sell the book. This would be independent from their e-commerce solution as long as they use the link to drive sales to your site where the actual purchases are made. You can also provide them with a coupon and relate the coupon to their affiliate account so they are credited with sales where the coupon is used.

#2 This seems similiar to #1 to me, if they act as an affiliate they can drive sales using the affiliate link and/or coupons, too.

#3 There is an interesting thread on this here and I think the Advanced Notifications extension could be useful for you.

Regarding the PO alternative, wouldn’t it be easy to allow customers to pay be bank transfer for that? That’s already built-in in WooCommerce and you can simply activate the payment option. The orders would appear as pending until you have the payment confirmed and then modify the order status accordingly. The affiliate system will also work with that as it is based on the incoming links.

      I hope the above helps,

      Cheers

Hi, didn’t know where to ask a presales question, so I am commenting. But I am looking to use Affiliates Pro, with the WooCommerce add-on and the Username addon.

I have been reading through the docs, etc and this will do everything I need except for one thing. And maybe there is a workaround or another plugin that I am missing.

Aside from having affiliate links, I would also like to either have a blank in the checkout form or a dropdown, that if selected will credit our affiliates (we only have a handfull). We are on an old custom system and this is how we did it for years, so with the transition to the WordPress and this plugin I want to make sure they are still getting credit from their older referrals who may not have the new affiliate link. Is this possible or will I just need to tell my affiliates to make sure their customers know the link?

    • antonio September 11, 2014 at 2:39 pm #

      Hi,
with the Pro version you can create a Woocommerce coupon, and assign this coupon to an affiliate (adding it as attribute). So e.g. if customerA uses the coupon ‘CouponA’ in the checkout and this coupon is assigned to AffiliateA, then AffiliateA get a commission without requiring that the user has used the custom link.
If you need to assign an user to an affiliate forever, please have a look to Affiliates Permanent plugin.
      cheers

      • Dean September 11, 2014 at 8:15 pm #

Thanks for your quick response! Is it possible to make a different field and attributing it to an affiliate? Rather than use coupons? It’s ok if not, I just want to make sure I understand the limitations.

        I appreciate your help!

        • kento September 12, 2014 at 1:56 pm #

          Hi Dean,

If you can add a field at checkout where the customer can choose her referrer, then you would have the option to manually add referrals from the back end under Affiliates > Referrals > Add based on that indication.

You would have to revise orders with that field manually but if you have the field there it’s an easy process. Oh and you don’t need the Pro or Enterprise version for that, the plain Affiliates would be perfectly suitable for that. Would that help?

          • Dean September 12, 2014 at 9:52 pm #

That would be perfect! Ideally in the future we won’t have that but just while we transition over and affiliates are passing out their links. I really appreciate all your help, I am sold on using this now. Thanks!

  33. Cristian September 8, 2014 at 2:48 pm #

Is it possible to get this situación working:

    1. An affiliate ‘A’ gets Another affiliate ‘B’ refering him and gets a comission everytime ‘B’ makes a purchase.
    2. Affiliate B also brought referrals who became affiliates ‘C’ and ‘D’ and gets a comission everytime C and D complete a purchase (i know these first 2 things are easy. Next part is what i need you to help me with or tell me if is it possible).
    3. Affiliate A gets a comission when affiliates C or D -Who got referred by ‘B’- make a purchase.
    4. Every affiliate should complete a minimum amount of points rewarded periodically in a certain amount of time -lets say 1000points each month- to be able to redeem his points.

    Thank you!

    • kento September 10, 2014 at 2:11 pm #

      Hi Cristian,

Basically it seems you can achieve this using Affiliates Enterprise which offers multiple tiers. But the requirement related to a minimum number of points wouldn’t be automatically covered, this would probably require additional customization.

      • Cristian Paulsen September 10, 2014 at 5:16 pm #

        Well, thank you very much!

Do you think i could manage the minimum points thing manually?

        For example,
        1) is there a screen where i can see the customers ordered by their achieved points?
        2) and maybe filtered by their achieved points earned in the last month?

Thanks again! Seriously thinkin about the enterprise version.

        • kento September 12, 2014 at 1:35 pm #

          Hi Cristian,

Manually would be an option and have you seen WooCommerce Points and Rewards? It might be a good idea for us to consider integrating with that extension …

  34. Jill September 5, 2014 at 5:52 pm #

Thank you Kento….I did see that demo…but it did not give me enough detail to know if I could do what I wanted. I just think you really need a live version that people can see and go through….you have a great program — but I wasted 4 hours today realizing it was not right for our specific needs…..just giving you some food for thought from a customer who found things not as clear…..good luck. and thank you.

    • kento September 12, 2014 at 1:06 pm #

      Hi Jill,

Many thanks for your feedback on that, yes a live demo would also be great although I think with the free version most users already have a fully functioning system and they decide for the Pro or Enterprise version because they are interested in the additional features. But of course, being able to try it out directly would make it even easier to take a decision. We had previously considered setting up a test site for that purpose and then dropped the idea, I’ll reconsider it though.

      Cheers

  35. Jill September 5, 2014 at 4:40 pm #

…and you can check if I am using it at any time at http://charitypaws.com — it is gone……..

  36. Jill September 5, 2014 at 4:40 pm #

I am totally not liking this program. You should really offer a free trial or something like a live demo so people can see what they are getting into. I do not like how it flows directrly into the registration of WordPress…this is going to confuse people if they have ordered from us and cannot use their email. I cannot get it to do what I need it to do — your answer is not answering my question (I specifically said I cannot do the .2 or whatever because we have different pricing) – I was under the impression I could custom create something to make it do what I needed.

Your instructions on this are horrible……there is not clear path to getting this setup easily —-

I know there are no refunds…but being I just bought this about 4 hours ago and have already removed it and went back to magic affiliate which is what I have been using……I am hoping you will reconsider.

    • kento September 5, 2014 at 4:55 pm #

Sure, not a problem at all. By the way there is a free and fully functional version. Your purchase has been refunded though. Thanks for trying it anyway!

  37. Jill September 5, 2014 at 1:25 pm #

Thanks – I did buy the pro verison anyway. Are you saying then that the flat rate wont work? I cannot just put $4 in the field? Doing it as a variable like .20 will not work since our products are all different prices…and not all that easy…..

    • antonio September 5, 2014 at 2:46 pm #

      Hi,
if you set a flat rate as default value, this will be calculated for total cart, not for product. E.g. if you set 0.20, this will generate 20% of total cart.
With pro version you can set different rate by product so if productA price is $20 you can set 0.20, and if productB is $10 you can set 0.40 (calculate rates for every product).
      cheers

  38. Jill September 5, 2014 at 10:31 am #

Hi — pre-purchase question! I need to do the following and am wondering if the pro version can offer this?

    1) Every affiliate gets $4 flat for EVERY item sold….so if a referred customer buys 3 things – the affiliate gets $12

    2) I need ONE affiliate each month to get $10 for every item sold……so if 3 items are sold in a referred order – they would get $30

I see that there is a formula based option – but it is not clear anywhere if I can do what I need to!

    Thank you!

    Jill

    • antonio September 5, 2014 at 1:18 pm #

      Hi,
with the pro version you can set different commissions by product
1.- so you can set the rate calculated (if product price is $20 and you want to get $4, then you should set 0.20 as rate).
2.- if you need to group your affiliates into groups and set different fees for groups, you can use Affiliates Groups plugin.
      cheers

  39. dean August 27, 2014 at 11:24 pm #

Hi my latest version of affiliates pro does not allow the woocommerce light integration plugin. Is this extra plugin required ? When I purchased affiliates pro there was no extra plugin and I had to download the woocommerce light integration from a website.

    • antonio August 28, 2014 at 6:50 am #

      Answered here.

  40. Mark August 22, 2014 at 8:52 am #

Thanks a million. I didn’t realize it came with Affiliate Pro. Great product. Cheers!

  41. Mark August 21, 2014 at 11:36 pm #

Hey. I purchased the Affiliates Pro thinking I was getting the Pro with WooCommerce Intergration.

The WooCommerce Intergration purchase page displays the Affiliates Pro upgrade.

    How do I purchase.

    • antonio August 22, 2014 at 7:31 am #

      Hi,
I if have purchased the Affiliates Pro , you should have available the integration pro with Woocommerce in your downloads page too.
      cheers

      • dean October 7, 2014 at 4:29 pm #

Does the group plugin definitely work with woocommerce ?

        Affiliate at 8 percent rate
        Affiliate at 10 percent rate

        • kento October 7, 2014 at 4:52 pm #

What group plugin? You’re probably referring to Affiliates Groups where you can see details on its features.

          • dean docherty October 7, 2014 at 6:37 pm #

Yes we have read all the documentation but it does not mention if it applies to the actual woocommerce rates for product for separate users.

I currently have a global default rate for all members at 8 percent. But I need to set one affiliate at higher rate at 10 percent for when a referral is made in other words a purchase.

            • kento October 7, 2014 at 6:39 pm #

Good question, I would recommend to ask the author on that one directly.

  42. Adrian Fraim August 19, 2014 at 2:37 pm #

Yes, I have installed the Affiliates Woocommerce integration plugin. the url to the site is http://www.militarymuscleinc.com All affiliates have a username that I have created manually. There is no open registration. They check all of their stats by logging into the back end of the site.

    • antonio August 20, 2014 at 7:40 am #

      Hi,
The website seems to work fine. Please send us dashboard admin access to support at itthinx dot com and we’ll have a look to settings (please indicate this comment in the email).
      cheers

      • Adrian Fraim August 27, 2014 at 11:27 pm #

Hey Antonio, I have emailed twice the dashboard admin access to support@itthinx.com and havent heard anything back yet. I realize that you are most likely busy but I need someone to take a look at the affiliates ASAP so I can get it working right. Thank you!

        • antonio August 28, 2014 at 7:19 am #

          Hi,
sorry, I think that I have answered.
I have created an affiliate and I have used his link, and all seem correct (a referral to itthinx is created).
You have a lot of Direct’s referral because if you have selected “Store direct referrals” in Affiliates->Options, when someone makes a purchase without using an affiliate link then a referral to Direct is created.
          cheers

  43. Adrian Fraim August 18, 2014 at 5:19 pm #

All referrals are being credited to direct rather than to an affiliate. I have people accessing the site through the affiliate links and it is registering hits and visits but not crediting the affiliate for orders processed. The affiliate referral rate is set to .05. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    • antonio August 19, 2014 at 10:32 am #

      Hi,
Do you have installed and activated the Affiliates Woocommerce Integration ?
please give us an url to have a look.

  44. Elemental August 17, 2014 at 11:09 pm #

    Looks like a great plugin.
I want to have an affiliate program set up for a specific product, lets say its ‘blue widgets’
Here is the URL to the blue widgets page:
    hxxp://mysite.com/product/blue-widgets/

What would be the code to have my affiliates link directly to that page? Would it be:
    hxxp://mysite.com/product/blue-widgets/?affilaites=2

Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

    • antonio August 20, 2014 at 8:48 am #

      Hi,
yes this url should work fine. You could use another pages insite the same domain like as homepage.
With the plugin you can set different commissions to products so only generates commissions only from a product.
      cheers

  45. Otto July 31, 2014 at 3:04 pm #

    Hi Antonio,

Thanks for this plugin: we are currently setting up our affiliateprogram. When a new affiliate registers, username and password are sent together with a wordpresslogin URL.

    Username: (edited)
    Password: (edited)
    http://presentatieinstituut.nl/wp-login.php

When they login there they get (limited) access to the WP-backed. I want them to go to the affiliate-area instead. How can I change that URL to http://presentatieinstituut.nl/affiliate-area/

    Thanks for your effort!
    Kind regards from the Netherlands,
    Otto.

    • antonio July 31, 2014 at 3:17 pm #

      Hi,
in Affiliates->Notifications you can customize the affiliates registration emails.
If you need to change the wordpress registration emails, you can use SB Welcome Email Editor plugin.
      cheers

      • Michael November 13, 2014 at 6:10 am #

Using the SB Welcome Email Editor does nothing to change the email that is sent to a new affiliate. If I purchase Pro will I be able to change that email to say what I want and direct them to the affiliate login page?

        • kento November 13, 2014 at 10:51 am #

          Hi Michael,

That would be an option, too. See the Notifications section in the documentation for details please.

          Cheers

          • Michael November 13, 2014 at 4:04 pm #

I guess I should clarify my question. I want that email to direct people to the affiliate login page or really any page besides wp-login. Can I do this with your Pro plugin? I don’t want to use the default tokens that are listed on your notifications page. That would basically just be the standard WP welcome.

            • kento November 14, 2014 at 12:18 pm #

The notification text can contain any links to the page you want to direct them to. You don’t need tokens for that, you would simply indicate the URL or use an HTML anchor in the content. For example, you could write the following:

Thanks for signing up for our affiliate program.
Your username is [username] and your password is [password].
You can now log in at http://www.example.com/affiliate-area/ to review your marketing resources and affiliate statistics.

  46. Ivan July 29, 2014 at 1:28 pm #

    Hi,

Short question: Is there also an option for generating an invoice in case an affiliate has been paid out? If yes, where can I find this option or will the invoices be generated automatically by executing a “Mass Payment file”?

    Kind regards,

    Ivan

    • antonio July 30, 2014 at 5:50 pm #

      Hi,
sorry, there isn’t an option to generate invoices, you sould use another software for it. You could use Mass Payment File to have a summary.
      cheers

  47. nueranet July 23, 2014 at 3:37 pm #

We purchased the pro plugin and we are wondering how we set it up so when someone purchases a membership through woo-commerce they will automatically be added as an affiliate. What is the settings or steps to do this. 🙂

    • antonio July 24, 2014 at 6:58 am #

      Hi,
with Affiliates Users plugin the system creates affiliates accounts for new users. But if you need to create the affiliate account only when the user purchases a membership, then you could use the affiliate API and create your own custom function.
      cheers

  48. Juan antonio July 23, 2014 at 9:01 am #

Nope, antonio, the problem is that usualy you got 2 login pages one for affiliates and one for customers… so there is not redirect plugins for affiliates pro, or customer page,

    • antonio July 23, 2014 at 9:39 am #

      Hi,
please give us an url to have a look.
      cheers

  49. Juan Antonio July 22, 2014 at 5:01 pm #

My Woocommerce site has a hiden wp-admin for customers that login or neeeds to remember password :

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-login-url/

The issue comes with the [affiliate_register] shortcode because if you fail to log it keeps to resend you to wp-admin.

Is there any way to solve it or should I touch affiliates pro code to prevent it?

    • antonio July 23, 2014 at 8:53 am #

      Hi,
I assume that you are talking about [affiliates_login_redirect] shortcode.
Affiiates login is based in wordpress login system. Please test if your plugin redirect correctly when you fail to log into wordpress.
      cheers

  50. Damon July 22, 2014 at 1:08 am #

Is it possible to automatically generate a standard coupon for each affiliate as they sign up? Instead of having to manually assign them?
