Affiliate doesn’t get credit for renewals…

I’m still having this issue. Scenerio:

1) New member name Lisa is referred by an affiliate name Katie
2) Lisa’s membership cancels via Paypal for non-payment
3) We give Lisa 30 days to renew her membership using the s2member button
4) The credit goes to Direct not Katie (even though the account is still good in S2member/wordpress and Lisa (affiliate) shows under Katie’s organization.

Am I using the wrong form? Using S2member sales buttons not S2Member Pro buttons??

Thanks,

Cesar

I believe you are correct. It will be a new subscription because the old one cancelled and when they renew it creates a new one. My question is though, if that member is “coded” to the original sponsor “affiliate”, shouldn’t the system give credit to that genealogy?

Normally not, because the client may have been referred by another affiliate among other reasons (timeout also plays a role).

We’ve sent you a plugin for permanent assignment, that should be consistent with what you want to achieve. I hope that’s a fit, otherwise please let us know.

    Hi Cesar,

Wouldn’t this create a new subscription? If that’s the case, then it wouldn’t be credited to the affiliate because the affiliate brought the subscription that expired due to non-payment and did not bring the new subscription created after the previous one.

Can you check if these are two different subscriptions?
