Me again! It only worked for a little while and now it is back to not working, even with a different parameter name.

Maybe a conflict with another plugin (related to SEO or cache) ?

I apologize, but I can’t grant access to the dashboard. Is there anything else I can try?

      Hi,
maybe there is a problem with the parameter name used (it can cause conflict with other plugin).
You can change it in Affiliates->Options->Affiliate URL parameter name (try with a freak word, for example: hohiho)

      Remember:
CAUTION: If you change this setting and have distributed affiliate links or permalinks, make sure that these are updated. Unless the incoming affiliate links reflect the current URL parameter name, no affiliate hits, visits or referrals will be recorded.

      cheers

Ok, I’ve realized that it is not the username that isn’t working, its the pretty URL… So this works http://www.website.com?affiliates=7

    Not this:
    http://www.website.com/affiliates/7

    This works:
    http://www.website.com?affiliates=Billy

    Not this:
    http://www.website.com/affiliates/Billy

      Hi,
      Please try:
      – On Affiliates->Options select if not selected or vice versa “Redirect”.
If this doesn’t work, try on Settings->Permalinks “save changes” to regenerate htaccess file.

      cheers

Thanks for that. I’ve created the user and it’s saving, but the URL still doesn’t work by username.

    Hi,
when is not saving? When you add an affiliate manually, or when the user uses the registration form?
    cheers
