Affiliates don’t land on the homepage anymore after updating to a newer version (Version 2.4.0)

Tags

Hi,

I am using your Affiliates Pro plugin with WooCommerce as a replacement for iDevAffiliate. I upgraded to a newer version and suddenly affiliates do not land on the homepage when using just their ‘simple’ affiliate URL. Also only the URL https://anti-aging-labs.com/?partner=3 seems to work, the other shown https://anti-aging-labs.com/partner/3 doesn’t.

Please help!

    Hey,

I made the change, but same issue.

    http://www.sproutliving.com/affiliates-area

    but http://www.sproutliving.com/affiliates/theblendergirl

    is still 404’ing

The system still recognizes this URL http://sproutliving.com/affiliates – it responds with a 301 Moved Permanently ending up at http://sproutliving.com/affiliates-area.

Please change the slug of that page to affiliate-area (the singular form, which is the default when that page is generated by the Affiliates plugin).

You can also change the affiliates URL parameter but keep in mind that affiliate links that are already being used by affiliates would have to be updated. This can be changed in Affiliates > Options.

Ok, thanks. That works! Why is this needed?

      Hi,
if the “Redirect” option is enabled, hits on affiliate links are redirected to the target URL without the affiliate identification appended.
This can cause problems when you want to share an affiliate link but the scraper shares the effective target URL after having followed through any redirects that happen between the original URL that contains the affiliate identification and the target URL.
      cheers

    Hi,
please test check “Redirect” in Affiliates->Options.
    cheers
