[affiliates_banner] issue

The banner display page using the [affiliates_banner] shortcode has an issue. It includes all of the html in the banners. Is this normal functionality? If so, how do I suppress it? It looks horrible and serves no purpose. Please advise. The page in question is below.

    You need to customize the shortcode, hide the html snippet and add a copy button instead. The meta list won’t be visible and the snippet will be copied with one click.
    The best way would be to use jquery.

    Cheers,

    Okay, that makes sense. Is there a way to have it look more like the documentation without disabling our SEO plugin?

    Hi Brian,

    You can use a custom css tag like this in your theme CSS file and hide the html snippet:
    .banner-code {
    display: none;
    }

    Normally the banner html code looks like the one demonstrated in the documentation.
    In your case there are several meta keys added to the image probably by a SEO-related plugin.

    However, the purpose of affiliate banners is to give your affiliates another tool to promote their links and as a consequence your site. It is more than an image, since your affiliates copy and paste the html snippet to their sites and the banner will be automatically displayed and link to your site or a URL you can specify. The image itself is the preview while the snippet is supposed to be used by your affiliates.

    Kind regards,
    George
