all on a sudden, [groups_file_url file_id=\'1\'] not expanded anymore :(

Hi, for some reason, the link download to a restricted content download behaves strangely: The link “[groups_file_url]” is not expanded anymore (link now reads
http://asdf.com/asdf/[groups_file_url%20file_id=’1’]
)
it used to work until yesterday, where we made an update to some plugins, not sure if groups / groups file access was one of them…. Has the syntax changed?
