This is a great plugin, and I have a question about a different approach, and maybe you have a suggestion.
Instead of paying out actual commissions/money to our affiliates, we want to simply offer a deep discount on our products for them. They are more like “ambassadors” than “affiliates”–they are promoting our product in exchange for it.
So, do you have any suggestions for how to set up a system that will:
1: Require a minimum amount of referrals for qualification of a discount for the ambassador
2: Provide a discount code once their minimum referral requirement is met?
Scenario:
An ambassador signs up, and starts promoting. After three successful referrals (other users pay and checkout), the ambassador gets an email with a discount code good for 40% off our products.
I see that you have the Affiliates Coupons Add-On, and I’m wondering if there may be a solution there somewhere.

Hi David,
I would then recommend you to have a look at our previous system of commission calculations and instead of Rates, you should choose Referral Amount Method. If you are familiar with coding you can implement a custom method as described here, which will calculate the amount of referrals each affiliate records and send a custom coupon accordingly.
With Affiliates Coupons, you can auto assign WC coupons to your affiliates. These coupons can be used/promoted by your affiliates as an alternative way to get referrals instead of or in conjunction with their affiliate links.
