I would like to know if it is possible to add a field in the signup form that will allow the affiliates to enter a custom name to be used as their affiliate id name ie. Michael. Currently each new affiliate is assigned a number and the link reads /?team=4. I would like it to read www.domain.com/michael if Michael is what the affiliate entered.
If this is not possible, what would be the approximate cost for custom programming?

With Affiliates By Username plugin you can use the username instead of the user id. But friendly url is not available.
