prior to purchasing this I watched a few tutorials and saw affiliate links were able to be changed by the affiliate (https://website.com.au/?affiliates=2 – changing to something like https://website.com.au/?shopwithbonnie)
I have been all over the plugin from the shop and user end and cannot find where this happens.

Thanks for choosing Affiliates Pro as your affiliate marketing tool.
FYI, with our plugin you can change the affiliate URL parameter and make the affiliate URL look like
http://www.example.com?your_custom_url_parameter=2
which will be the link for affiliate with ID 2. The parameter can be set in Affiliates > Settings.
Also, in case you decide to use the premium Affiliates by Username addon, it will replace the ID with the affiliate’s username so the URL can be
http://www.example.com?your_custom_url_parameter=the_affiliates_username.
