So currently it is sending my potential affiliates an email with the password and username when it sends the pending email but i dont want it to send until i approve them because i believe this is part of the reason my affiliates cant log in properly

Thank you so much for reaching out and for asking your question.
Regarding your inquiry, you can change the content of the email sent to the affiliate when their application is Pending. This can be done by:
* Navigating to Affiliates > Notifications
* In the Pending section change the default message to reflect the message you desire.
* Click Save
This way only Active affiliates would recieve their login credentials.
It is also worth mentioning that you can modify the email sent when the user is Pending, approved, and when the status changes from Pending to Active. You can read more on Affiliate Notifications here.
