Confused by some things

I just purchased the enterprise version. The product that has a lot of functions. However, I’m sorry to say that it is lacking a lot of polish and your documentation is not very helpful for setting everything up. I appreciate your fast response to the forum but I’m sure you would rather spend your time doing something else as would I. I’m a little frustrated and not super confident with the woocommerce integration and the quality and security of the system because of the lack of polish. It’s like when you go to a restaurant and the bathroom is dirty, you wonder what the kitchen is like. Or when you get on an airplane that has duct tape on the wing. For example, “Affiliates Coupons” is in a different section of my side bar than “Affiliates”. Woocommerce is mentioned in several places but config settings are not organized in a way that makes sense. The installation process was not smooth, I had to request a plugin be mailed to me. A separate plugin was required for an updater which I had to hunt for. The documentation is incomplete and difficult to follow. These things make me wonder if you guys are planning on being around because it seems like you are not investing time to your product.

All that aside, here are two issues presently that have me stuck. If I can’t get these things figured out, I’m not sure I’ll be able to use this product at all.

1) Where is affiliate link? In the lite version, I thought I saw it under Manage affiliates, a link associated with each affiliate. In Enterprise that link is not there or anywhere I can see.

2) I have the Affiliates Coupons extension for woocommerce. How do I create a single coupon and match it to an affiliate? Can I just do that in Woocommerce? Do I have to use the bulk create? When I do this, it just says 0 coupons created and I have no idea why. I can add a coupon under affiliate attributes, but only one coupon, and I have to just type in a string or word, which does not tell me if or how this links up to an existing woocommerce coupon.

What I would expect to see is a section added into woocommerce coupons that would allow me to assign it to an affiliate knowing that they would get a commission on each sale bought using that coupon. As it stands, I am not even sure this is what happens.

Yes, I have read and am trying to sift through these pages.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Indeed Affiliates Enterprise has a lot of functions and perhaps the documentation and setup should be easier to follow but there is always the support forum to cover all these cases like yours where further explanation is needed.

    Regarding your questions

    1) If you go to Affiliates > Manage Affiliates right after the Filters section, there is a Columns section where you can choose which columns you like to display for your affiliates.

    2) If you’re just trying to add a single coupon and set it for an affiliate, then you should create the coupon in WooCommerce and then add it as attribute to the affiliate. As you have already read in the documentation, coupons created in bulk mode will be added automatically to your existing affiliates. Furthermore in the first option, Affiliates Coupons, you can set the coupon data which will be automatically created and assigned to every new affiliate who registers in your site.

In general, any type of feedback is always welcome. Actually it’s the customers’ feedback we’ve been using all these years and for the years to come in order to update our plugins.

    Kind regards,
    George
