Deleting Referrals

Is there any way that the rejected referrals could be deleted easier? I have 5 referrals for each order that is denied by a credit card company.

Currently I have to pull each referral up individually and remove them one by one.

A nice little check box next to each item with a delete them all at the same time would be an awesome feature.

Is this possible?

Just a note on deleting rejected referrals … don’t. You don’t need to delete them and they don’t affect the commissions accepted and payable to affiliates. Moreover, they serve as a reference when you analyze the ratios of rejected referrals from your affiliates and help you take decisions based on that.

Kento, why would I keep the rejected referrals if they are denied by the credit card company. My database is getting HUGE because of the Affiliates Hits database. I just had a nightmare trying to move my entire system over to a dedicated server and some of these affiliates databases are REALLY big! The rejected referrals are part of an order that was either rejected by credit card company or cancelled by the customer. I delete those orders so to not bog down my ordering system. So if I delete the order then the referral is no longer connected to any order. So if I delete the order they are not connected to anything and I couldn’t track it back to the order then.

You are deleting valuable information if you do that. Rejected orders and referrals can be a valuable source of information that allows to improve your business performance if you analyze that data correctly. The referrals data is not huge and having them in your database does not imply a performance impact. Actually, if you have a system with thousands of orders and your rejected orders are around e.g. 1-2%, then that is a neglectible amount of data compared to your completed orders, it simply doesn’t make sense to believe that having your rejected orders or referrals would make a huge impact on your database.
