Does the affiliate get a notification when someone has used their link to make an order

Posted in

Hey,

I installed affiliate pro for a client of mine and one of her affiliates asked her a question and I can’t find a direct answer in the documentation. Does the affiliate get a notification when someone has used their link to make an order?

would it include all the order details or is it just an order notification?

    You are welcome Kevin,

The fixes are not retroactive, notification emails are sent once, on-the-fly whenever there is a referral recorded.
However, all that data will always be available in the affiliate area page if you use the aforementioned shortcodes. Each affiliate can see their performance in the affiliate area page since their registration/ their first referral.

    Cheers,
    George

    Thanks George,

I added the shortcode to the affiliate area and I updated the notification sections in the back end but the customer asked this can you help?

“Thanks a million for the update. 🙂

Are the fixes retroactive to allow them to see orders that were made last month?”

    Hi Kevin,

As long as the notifications are enabled for referrals, under Affiliates > Notifications, the affiliate will get a notification email whenever a referral is recorded.
You can also use the supported tokens as described in the documentation to enrich the mail message, for example the [referral_type] and [referral_amount] will render sale and the commission amount granted respectively.

For a detailed overview of the order involved in a referral, you can use [affiliates_affiliate_stats] in your Affiliate Area page or for even more details you can use this custom shortcode for free in the Affiliates Area page too after installing the plugin linked.

    Kind regards,
    George
