ERROR that reads “Affiliates WooCommerce Integration plugin requires an appropriate Affiliates plugin to be activated: Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.”

Hi there,

I’m working with AffiliatesPro + WooCommerce on my WordPress site. I have an error that states, “Affiliates WooCommerce Integration plugin requires an appropriate Affiliates plugin to be activated: Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.”

Here’s my scenario/some background:

I purchased AffiliatesPro – the license for the single site found here for $59: https://www.itthinx.com/shop/affiliates-pro-2/

I have uploaded it to my WordPress site and have it activated. To be precise, I have downloaded the “Affiliates Pro” download from this page: https://www.itthinx.com/downloads/ – which I was directed to directly after my purchase from the ReadMe instructions included with the purchase.

Since the WordPress template I’m on supports WooCommerce, I also downloaded the “WooCommerce Integration” found from the same downloads page as above.

I have both these plugins activated on my site and they show up as such when I go through the back end.

The problem is >>>
When I go to “Affiliates Pro” in my sidebar to start to get into things, I receive a message saying that “Affiliates WooCommerce Integration plugin requires an appropriate Affiliates plugin to be activated: Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.” I have AffiliatesPro activated. This has been here for a few days now. I emailed IT THINX support directly and was instructed to post about this in the forum. This is the email message I received back:
“Hi Rachel,
You don’t need anything else to have it working. If the message still appears please use the support forums and we’ll be happy to look at it https://www.itthinx.com/forums/

Cheers,
Kento”

So here I am, with the message still appearing and no signs that it is going to work itself out magically. I would love some assistance in figuring out what is wrong. Thanks so much!

    Hi,
please be sure you have deactivated Affiliates light version and activated the pro version. Also check that the Affiliates pro folder is ‘affiliates-pro’
    cheers

      Hi Antonio,

Thanks for your response. I replied a week ago but apparently it didn’t go through. I’m hoping this one does.

I had no previous version of Affiliates Pro/Affiliates Light so there was nothing to deactivate. So, yes, this was deactivated since I had never installed anything until Affiliates Pro.

I had, in fact, renamed the Affiliates Pro folder originally – now I have gone in, deactivated it, renamed it to “affiliates-pro” and reuploaded it/activated it. I am still having the same issues that say “Affiliates WooCommerce Integration plugin requires an appropriate Affiliates plugin to be activated: Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.”

I am able to control some things that are related to Affiliates Pro but I see nothing where I can adjust the computing of how much commission each affiliate earns, and other things that are explained as features in Affiliates Pro and that I see as highly crucial to using the program. I am able to create a signup page and give affiliates a unique URL but I have no clue how much/what percentage income they are generating or told they are generating in sharing their link with others who then purchase my product. It appears that I am viewing it only halfway at this point, at least, hopefully – seeing that I get this warning message and that I don’t find it very user-friendly, I’m hoping there is a piece I’m missing that will allow it to all make sense.

Anyhow, it appears the issue is deeper than not being able to adjust my affiliate earnings rate. I would appreciate some more detailed and specific assistance ASAP.

I’d love to take this out of the forum and communicate with someone more directly so I don’t feel this long lapse in communication. My email address is maxwell.rachel at gmail.com

      Thank you,
      Rachel
