Filter Affiliate User by role

Our Affiliate program requires paid membership to become Affiliates.
However not all users will be Affiliates. For example we have users that will have subscriber accounts, that will not be affiliates. We also have WP Authors accounts that will not have affiliate status.

Affiliates are created with the WP role as Contributors to the site and as such we need Affiliate Users (plugin) to create WP user accounts as well as an affiliate account.

Again not all WP users will be affiliates.

Note: We are using Gravity Forms with with GF Paypal Addon, and GF User Registration Addon to create Affiliate accounts. Using this setup affiliates register and pay to become affiliates. They automatically then are registered as WP Contributor users, as well as becoming affiliates.

We are also using Gravity Forms with GF Username Registration Addon to create subscriber accounts. These accounts will not become affiliates.

Is there any way to trigger only certain accounts (roles) to automatically become affiliates? Or some other way to accomplish this.

    Hi Herbert,

If you are using a GF form to allow affiliates to register, instead of using Affiliates Users which creates an affiliate account for any new user, you can use Affiliates Gravity Forms which allows to create affiliate accounts only for users who submit through a specific form. You can see see the settings used for this case here under the heading User Registration and Affiliate Accounts.
