Groups File Access shows wrong Uploads path and fails to download and upload files

In File Access I see the Uploads path is incorrect. Please advise how can I change it to the correct one.

Moreover, In Files section, the following error message shows (same error message for different previously files loaded):

Warning: finfo_file(): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <some wrong path, same as the on in Uploads)/wp-content/plugins/groups-file-access/lib/uty/class-gfa-utility.php on line 77

The path where the file is located is correct (I had to replace the old path with the new one in SQL after our hosting company Siteground migrated the site from cPanel to Site Tools) but the path for /public_html/wp-content/plugins/groups-file-access/lib/uty/ is incorrect; the correct path starts with a different directory name before the public_html.

    Hi Maria, I’m glad this is resolved.:)

    It is common for each hosting company to use different setups and which in turn can result even to a different root path, hence the query required to run after a migration.

    I confirmed the Uploads directory was correct so there was no need to change it.
    Issue is now resolved using the instructions about running the SQL script to update the documents’ directory to show the new directory path by matching exactly the Uploads directory
    I did not realize that the path’s root folder had changed after the hosting company migrated to a new cPanel dashboard nor was this explicitly displayed on this dashboard’s File Manager

    Hi Maria,

    Welcome to our support forum and many thanks for using our file restriction tool on your site.

    Can you please enable WP debugging and then go to Groups > Files and Groups > File Access? Then I would like you to send me a copy of your debug.log file to check the full stack of this warning to george at itthinx dot com.

    Also, regarding the file path make sure to check the section Moving to another Server and use the SQL query mentioned to update the path.

    As a reminder, to enable WP debugging edit your wp-config.php file and replace this line: 

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );

    with these lines:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );

    All logs will be stored in your site’s root folder under wp-content/debug.log file.
