How do I change the affiliate link to use the affiliate id or some name I choose

I wanted to know if there was any possible way to have affiliate links look different. I do not need it to go to another site.

Example:
Current
http://www.angelsofnewyorkbook.com/affiliates/2

have it look like or what ever I may choose?
http://www.angelsofnewyorkbook.com/link/2

All referrals are slotted under direct

Hi,
on Affiliates->Options::Affiliate URL parameter name you can change ‘affiliate’ to ‘link’.
If you want to use username instead of affiliate’s id, you have Affiliates Username plugin.
