Manually Adding an Affiliate

Posted in

Hi — I’m trying to manually add an affiliate. How do I assign them a username and password so that they can come and login on my website to see their account?

Oh sorry — a wordpress user right in my site. Okay I get it. What role do I assign them? Does it matter? Thank you!

      No matter the role.

It has to be through WordPress? Why? Will the user run into problems if they’re logged into their own personal site with WordPress and then they try to log into the affiliate area on my website with the same or with different login credentials then what they use on their personal blog? Is there a way to have it integrated with the account log-in process with WooCommerce instead?

    Hi Barbara,
If you need to add manually an affiliate that he can login to the affiliate-area, you need:
    – Create a WordPress user. In this step, you can set the password.
    – Then in Affiliates->Manage Affiliates you can create the new affiliate using the username used before.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
