My question is about member registration.

I have set members should be checked.

1. If I use the built-in registration form of the promotion link to register, and then use the plug-in to register supplementary information.
Member information added in the plug-in will be lost.

2. If I use the promotion link, fill in the information directly in the registration form of the plug-in , I will get all the member information, but this member will lose the referrer’s binding.

thanks and regards

    Hi Wei,

Even though the login credentials you sent are not valid, I will give you instructions based on what I’ve noticed so far during the last time I managed to login.

The affiliates registration form that is rendered in Affiliates Dashboard > Registration section is using the fields set in Affiliates > Settings > Registration. This form once submitted creates a new user and a new affiliate which are connected. Afterwards on your site you will have a new user account connected to an affiliate account. In order to automatically assign this new user-affiliate to the referring affiliate, the option Assign new users to the referring affiliate should be enabled in Affiliates Permanent settings.

On the other hand when you are using a custom/third-party registration form or even the default WP or WC registration form, this cannot create a new user-affiliate entry like the option before. This happens because these forms are not affiliate registration forms and only a user record will be created so all the supplementary information cannot be mapped to an affiliate because no new affiliate has been added.
In this case you can either use affiliate registration forms using one of the following setups
    1. Formidable Forms
    2. Ninja Forms
    3. Gravity Forms
and for each one follow the instructions mentioned in the links I provided.
Or if you choose not to follow this route then once a new user is registered using your own registration form, he/she can become an affiliate if they are logged-in, visit the Affiliates Dashboard > Registration section and submit the partially pre-filled form found there. In this case the supplementary information will be added to the new affiliate.

I would prefer to have a look at both/all registration forms you’re currently using but since I wasn’t able to login, I’m hoping that if you follow my instructions you will manage to work this out. If further assistance is needed on this matter please make sure to create an admin account and let me know.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Wei,

FYI, the temporary login provided has limited access to your Dashboard, please create a full admin account so that I can continue with my testing session.
For example the account I have doesn’t have privileges to edit a user and check the permanent affiliate.
Furthermore, there seems to be a caching feature running on your site at the moment called The Plus Performance without an obvious plugin behind it after checking your plugins list, which in turn might also affect the affiliate or user assignment.
If the site is running live at the moment then I can proceed with my tests using a staging clone instead.

Please follow-up on this thread with further instructions.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Wei,

I’m afraid I haven’t received an email from you yet, can you please try again and re-send it?
Alternatively, you can post the temp admin credentials here in a follow-up comment and I can assure you, we will keep it private for security reasons. Also please make sure to mention the URL to the registration form.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Wei,

Welcome to our support forum and many thanks for using our affiliate marketing tool for WordPress.

Can you please provide temp admin access to your site and links to the registration forms you used? I’m not quite sure which forms you are referring to and therefore I think it’s better to have a closer look on both of them to see the difference in action.
For the temp admin account you may also use my personal email address, george at itthinx dot com.

    Kind regards,
    George
