Not working anymore since the latest version of pro

I must have to ask for an immediate update of affiliates by username. It’s not working anymore since the latest version of affiliates pro. Thanks.

    I’m sorry. We just have one staging site at the moment and we must use it to find one other problem for WooCommerce. It’s found and so now I can activate this for you again.

    It’s working with this:
    https://beta.pronatur24.shop/?partner=e4da3b7fbbce2345d7772b0674a318d5

    It’s not working with this:
    https://beta.pronatur24.shop/?partner=healthytrade

    Both are affiliate id 5. And with the username as partner-id one other page is loading.

      Hi Dietmar,

      Thanks for these, yes the encoded URL works and produces the expected cookies but the one with the username does not. I have tried to register a test account under https://beta.pronatur24.shop/affiliate-partnerprogramm but the form is not submitted (Die Nachricht konnte nicht gesendet werden. Bitte versuchen Sie es noch einmal zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt oder informieren Sie den Administrator der Webseite.) – I have created a normal customer account though. Could you please enable the affiliate access for that one on the staging site?

      Can you please also provide temporary admin and FTP access to the staging site so we can run a few tests on the site?

      Cheers

        I forgot to mention, for the admin and FTP credentials, please forward these directly to help at itthinx dot com.

          Hi Dietmar,

          There is an update which is about to be released which very likely will solve the issue on your site. I just wanted to let you know so we can also test on your staging site with that new version.

          Cheers

    Our developers checked the affiliates by username plugin. They don’t think that the problem is at this plugin. They think the problem for this situaton is in the main plugin affiliates pro. They try to fix this immedieately, but because of the big size of affiliate pro to much time is necessary to find the detail for this bug/issue.

      Hi Dietmar,

      We have been running several tests and couldn’t replicate the issue on your site. I tried to visit the link for the affiliate you mentioned, but they don’t produce the expected result so I assume that this was a test affiliate that you have removed.

      Since the update, did anything else change on your site? Any other plugins updated, changes to the server software or configuration? Were any new plugins installed or any customizations added?

      From what you have described, and given that all our tests with our latest versions are correct, we must assume that something on your site has changed which introduced the issue. Can you please provide temporary admin and FTP access so we can run a few tests on the site? Alternatively, the same credentials for a staging version of the site will be ok as long as it is using the exact same environment (so we can actually replicate the issue there).

      Cheers

    I tried this already, but the previous version don’t work anymore after the update. I can’t add new affiliate partners and the statistics don’t count. So I have to wait for your fix – and really I don’t like this situation.

    May I suggest as a temporary solution to downgrade Affiliates Pro to the previous version, so that you won’t face that issue, until we deploy a fix for it?

    Please indicate your email address here and I can send you a copy.

    Cheers,
    George

    There is no special entry in the debug.log about this. But it’s not working. I’m really getting problems and I can’t go back to the version before – the version before isn’t working anymore without problems after Update on this.

    Hi Dietmar,

    Thanks for reaching support and for mentioning your issue.

    Could you please give a brief description on the situation?
    It might also be useful to enable debugging and send me a copy of your debug.log file. You can enable it by editing your wp-config.php file and do the following:
    Replace this line:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );

    with these lines:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );

    After that, visit the affiliate area page or the page where you use the affiliates_by_username shortcode and then check the debug.log file under your wp-content folder in case there is something logged and send it to george at itthinx dot com along side with the version of WP you have currently installed.

    Kind regards,
    George

      Sure. Normally in the browser line this is happening – example:
      http://pronatur24.shop/?partner=alpensepp

      this /?partner is disappearing on loading the page and everything is working.

      Now since the new version a different page is loading – a kind of a redirect – and this /?partner= don’t disappear. I know this disappearing from the past – this is every time happening if a user isn’t recognized.

      With the hash-value itself as partner, it’s working nice – just not the username-plugin with the new version of pro.
