The topic was already closed so I couldn’t reply

I’ve tred your solution but it only worked temporarily, now it’s doing the same thing. Any ETA on when the “fix” is happening?

    Hi Gerik,

Disable all the plugins and then start activating them one by one to find out which one is conflicting.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Gerik,

Thanks a lot for the feedback, it will be noted that there is a conflict with this plugin.

    Kind regards,
    George

Disabling it makes it work. Very odd.

    Plugin Info:
    “Carousel Horizontal Posts Content Slider”
    Version: 3.2.5
    Author: subhansanjaya

    Now for an alternative slider.

    Hi Gerik,

Although there is no other similar report in the forum, if by disabling it you are successful then let me know in order to keep it in the non-compatible list of plugins.

    Kind regards,
    George

A theory my client had it is the direct relation to a recent post slider plugin that is only on the home page. We had a few recent post sliders and I think they all cause the same problem. Here is the one we are currently using: Carousel Horizontal Posts Content Slider

The slider is only used on the home page.

    Hi Gerik,

I will report this error. In the meantime there is a new update for Groups plugin. Check it out and let me know if your problem persists.

    Kind regards,
    George

I have the Groups 404 plugin installed. Sometimes it goes to the page chosen, sometimes it just gives Page not found.

    Hi Gerik.

For the error please enable in wp-config WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG.

What do you mean by the chosen restricted page?

    Kind regards,
    George

I don’t know if this helps but when I used Omnisearch (from jetpack) it gave me this error: Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to string in /home/xxx/staging/1/wp-content/plugins/groups/lib/access/class-groups-post-access.php on line 396

    Problem 1:
    Page name: Apple
    Post Category: Apple

The page is not restricted, the post category is not restricted. When you go to the PAGE it’s redirecting non-logged in users to the chosen restricted page.

    Problem 2:
    Page name: Orange
    Post category: Orange

The page is not restricted, the post category is restricted. When you go to the PAGE it’s redirecting non-logged in users to the chosen restricted page.

    Hi Gerik,

Please make sure that you have Groups version 1.4.13 and Groups Restrict Categories 1.2.0 installed.
When did that occur? What action(s) did you do and resulted in a PAGE NOT FOUND?

    Kind regards,
    George
