Referral rates can’t be set by product with woocommerce/enterprise

I upgraded to the Enterprise plugin as my client wants a tiered referral program. I have set 2 tiers with tier set at 15%
and tier 2 at 3%. I want to have a few products override the default 15% and be set at 25%, but when I test that I am getting only 15% for the referrals. What can I do? I had tested the rate override capability with the Pro plugin and it was working.

I see under WooCommerce integration, Product Rates>(enabled)referral rates; and here it says:
When this option is enabled, you can set referral rates for products. The rate can be set when editing a product, under Product Data > Affiliates.
Important : Note that you must choose the Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates method under Affiliates > Setup for product rates to be applied in general, or specify that method as an attribute for individual affiliates – otherwise the product rates will not apply.

Yet I see no Affiliates > Setup?

Perfect! Now I understand. It wasn’t clear in the documentation that I needed to save the drop down item “Referral Amount Method” first. It works now. Great plugin and support. Thanks!!

I have enabled Product Rates in the Woocommerce Integration tab. What does this mean?:

“Note that you must choose the Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates method under Affiliates > Setup for product rates to be applied in general, or specify that method as an attribute for individual affiliates – otherwise the product rates will not apply.”

    I see no Affiliates>Setup?

It’s Affiliates > Settings … that needs to be corrected in the inline documentation. Thanks for pointing that out.

It means that this custom method must be activated explicitly there. I.e. you would go into Affiliates > Settings and choose ‘Referral Amount Method’, hit Save then it will offer you to choose that method. Make sure to indicate the default rate under Affiliates > WooCommerce Integration > Product Rates > Default rate.

Right I made a mistake there. I figured out after I tested a tiered affiliate the base “setting” rate is actually the “0” level and I only needed to set 3% in tier 1.

The problem is I cannot override the base setting rate fort some reason. I have several products I tested with a 25% affiliate commission set in the woocommerce product> affiliate tab. I am still getting 15% commission applied to these products (the default rate under settings in Affiliates). Before I activated Enterprise I had Pro installed and it worked fine in this situation.

Can you please clarify if you want the original referrer to get 15% or is that the level 1 rate?

If it’s the original referrer, then that rate would be the general rate set under Affiliates > Settings. For those products where 25% should be applied, you would indicate it accordingly in the Affiliates tab for the product. The level 1 rate would then be set at 3% and you would not use a second level.
