Referrals Affiliates Pro for Ecwid in WordPress

Posted in

I’ve setup up an affiliate on our WordPress (v3.6) and we are using the Ecwid shopping system. I got the Affiliates Pro plugin (v 2.4.1) and Affiliates Ecwid Integration plugin (v 1.2.1) installed. I added the Store ID and Order API secret key to the plugin, and the URL for ION messages to our Ecwid api page. My affiliate is all setup and we are able to track/see visitors and hits on the Affiliates & Referrals section of the plugin. We are not seeing any referrals, that is, the amount the affiliate should be credited. I did add a Referral Rate attribute for the affiliate. I see that per Ecwid affiliate page here:

http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/24740703/Affiliates%20features

I would need to add the affiliate code to our “Thank you for your order” page setting in the dashboard of Ecwid. I saw that this page on your site:

https://www.itthinx.com/documentation/affiliates/api/referrals/

has that code (I believe). I copied and pasted the code to the Ecwid “Thank you for your order” page area. The only thing I changed was ‘domain’ => YOUR_PLUGIN_DOMAIN, to ‘domain’ => mydomain.com, . I then placed an order through our affiliate to see if it was working. My order went through, I was charged on our credit card, but I’m not seeing it under Referrals.

The obvious is that I’m doing something wrong, most likely not entering the affiliate code correctly, if that is even close to correct.

I’ve since figured out the issue. The Ecwid ION Cannon request uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) and we block all AWS IP ranges due to all the issues we were having with their botnets. I’ve since whitelisted the single IP address, referrals started coming in immediately. We are in business and now working.

I gave some additional information to Ecwid, here’s their response: http://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthread.php?p=93078

That’s not the question I was asking. I already have that information and have given it to the affiliate. We are seeing hits/visits tracked back to the affiliate, but not referrals (commission for purchases made by the customer clicking the link through the affiliate.)

    Hi,
When you have the plugins installed on the “Affiliate area” page (you can generate it in Affiliates->Settings), you can see links to share (like http://www.mydomain.com?affiliates=XX)
When a customer uses this link and purchases anything, a commission is generated to the affiliate.
