I am setting up a system for a client and the only way they will be linking Affiliates to products is via Affiliate Coupons. Everything is work correctly except when the Referral is applied it isn’t being linked to the Affiliate. What happens is the Referral appears in the Referrals List (but no where else). It looks like it is associated with the Affiliate, but when I click on it to edit, it is linked to Direct. I then need to select the Affiliate and save and then it appears in the Affiliate Areas. Why is this not happening automatically? Why does it require this manually intervention?

I’ve noticed that the affiliate Kevin doesn’t have any coupon assigned which is the reason why you get these results.
FYI, I’ve added myself as an affiliate and used my affiliate coupon for an order of a test customer. The referral was properly added my account as you can see in the backend and in the frontend by visiting the Affiliates Dashboard page.

Thanks for using our plugins.
The normal flow when a referral is recorded would automatically grant a commission to the affiliate involved without any further action needed. This also includes the statistics appearing both in back- and front-end.
IMO, it would be better to have a look at your Dashboard and conduct some tests. You may send temp admin credentials to george at itthinx dot com and mention this topic title in the mail subject.
