Setting up URL links with affiliate

Posted in

Hi,

We have an affiliate website who would like to sell our products in exchange for a 15% commission.
When a potential customer hits the link to purchase our product in the affiliate’s website, it should redirect the customer to the product’s page in OUR website and then he can easily proceed to checkout.
Our website is WordPress based using Woo Commerce.
I would like a thorough explanation on how to create affiliate URL links for my affiliate and how to integrate Affiliates Pro with Woo Commerce.

Please email your reply to my email: boaz@synergyhomeopathic.com

Thank you,
Boaz

    Hi,

When I go to Affiliates > Integrations under Woo Commerce it is saying the following:
    WooCommerce

This plugin integrates Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise with WooCommerce. With this advanced integration plugin, referrals are created and synchronized automatically for your affiliates when sales are made. This integration also supports referrals on recurring payments related to subscriptions and coupons related to affiliates to grant referrals when customers use them to credit the corresponding affiliate.
This integration is suitable to be used with Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise.

This requires the itthinx updates plugin.

When I try to click on th itthinx update plugin it redirects me to this link: http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/itthinx-updates/
Then I visited the Service Key page to obtain a service key. I copied the key but under Plugins there is no plugin named “Itthinx Updates”. There is only the plugin “Affiliates Pro”. When I go to Edit this plugin it says in the first row: “Please install the itthinx updates plugin to enable automatic updates for your plugins by itthinx.” When I click on the link to install it, it says “Access Denied”

    What to do now?

    Hi Guy,

After installing the Affiliate WooCommerce integration through Affiliates>Settings>Integrations, please visit Affiliates>WooCommerce Integration to set it up.
There you can choose the options for referral status based on the order status.
Also, enable product referral rates under Product Rates section. Set the Default rate to 0.15 and press save.
Then, follow the instruction mentioned in the same section and choose the Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates method under Affiliates > Settings > Commissions.

    Your setup is ready.
Your affiliates can find their links in the Affiliate Area page. This page can be created under Affiliates>Settings>Pages.
One of available options in this page is [affiliates_generate_url] shortcode. This shortcode can convert any link on your site to an affiliate link.
Another way to create an affiliate link for a product is by adding the affiliate URL parameter to the end of that link. The affiliate URL parameter can be found in Affiliates>Manage Affiliates.

    Kind regards,
    George
