Subscriptions not appearing as active / Recurring PayPal payments not generating new orders in Jigoshop

Hi – While I’m aware that a few others have had the same problem, I’ve decided to submit a topic given that there was no solution provided in the forums.

I’ve basically been trying to set up a recurring subscription system on my client’s website. While the setup was pretty painless, there are three crucial parts of the system that are not functioning properly:

1.) Whenever a recurring payment is made via Jigoshop (as a normal product, not as a subscription), the order is listed as “inactive” in the Subscriptions panel. The status basically doesn’t change whether the recurring payment is setup or cancelled in PayPal.

2.) Presumably because the order is listed as “inactive,” the customer is not put into the proper group.

3.) I ran a series of tests by purchasing a product that recurs daily. When the second payment went through on PayPal, a new order was not automatically created in Jigoshop.

    Hi Mark,

    From what you describe, I think you’re trying to use Groups PayPal along with Jigoshop but Groups PayPal is handling transactions for PayPal by itself, it doesn’t go through PayPal.
