Switch from Contact Form 7 to Gravity Forms

I’ve been using Affiliates Pro and Contact Form 7 for a couple of years (with the Contact Form 7 Integration plugin).
I’m moving to Gravity Forms now so I assume I will need to purchase the Gravity Forms plugin for Affiliates Pro, right?

Once I got this all going, do I need to convert anything within Affiliates Pro to keep old entries that were created with Contact Form 7?
Are there any other steps I need to consider or I should be aware of before I go live?
I’m a little scared because I don’t want to mess up a working system.

No, I think it’s all set correctly.

The referral amount is set to 1 which is correct. The affiliate should get 1 EUR credited for each referred form submission.
The product price and order total is 9.99 EUR with each submission. A user always orders exactly one product with every submission, the total is always 9,99 EUR.

However “Affiliates Pro” registers sometimes a referral amount of 1 (correct) but sometimes 9.99 for the affiliate. Exact same form, and even exact same affiliate partner.

I’m not a programmer but I’m wondering if it might have something to do that I’m using WP (and and therefore GF as well) in German and the German language uses a comma instead of a point for prices.

    German: 1,00 EUR
    English: 1.00 USD

    Or any other issue?

    Oh my, big problem!

I’ve made the switch Contact Form 7 to Gravity Forms today and I think I’ve set it up correctly. However, what’s happening now is that the affiliate partner doesn’t receive the referral amount (1.00) but the product price (9.99) instead. So I’m basically giving all my sales away to the affiliate partners.

    Need help qucikly.

      Hi Yvonne,

This sounds to me like you’ve set the referral rate to 1 instead of the referral amount. Have you seen the documentation page for the Gravity Forms integration? You will note on the form settings there are two fields provided, one for a fixed amount and the other for a relative amount based on a referral rate. Can you please check these?

      Cheers

OK, I’ve purchased the Affiliates Pro license again and downloaded the file version 2.18.1 just now.
I have currently installed the version 2.15.1.

How do I upgrade to the new version?
Delete the old one and install the newer one after?
    Keep both?

And what does the itthinx Updates plugin actually do? Sorry, it’s a little confusing to me.

      Hi Yvonne,

The “itthinx updates” plugin takes care of keeping your plugins up-to-date – so you don’t have to manually update them. If you haven’t done it yet, install and activate it please. You will see there is a newer version of Affiliates Pro available and with the updater activated, it will allow you to upgrade the plugin(s).

      Cheers

    Hi Yvonne,
Affiliates Gravity Forms integration is included in Affiliates Pro. I can see that your license is expired, so you need to purchase the Affiliates Pro plugin (from Affiliates->Settings:Integrations you have the integration)
The referrals (commissions) created will continue to exist. You simply need to configure the Gravity Forms forms.
For security reasons, always make a full backup before installing a new plugin.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
