track a purchase

Website is WordPress. The paywall is 3rd party called Cleeng.

How can we track when affiliate makes a purchase when we can’t integrate with Cleeng? We do have a Confirmation Page, but that is a redirect after the purchase is made with Cleeng (it’s own url which), but the affiliate ID won’t be in that URL.

Workflow is: Affiliate URL > Cleeng for checkout (new URL without affiliate link) > redirect to our confirmation page without affiliate link.

Please create the short code. We have tracking on the paywall side to check sales against Incase some are not real.

      Hi Mark,
Created, I hope it helps you. You can use the ‘amount’ and ‘currency’ attributes to set the value of the referral.
      Something like this: [affiliates-generate-referral amount="10" currency="USD" /]
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Here is the use-case. A user goes here: http://sobekick.com/das-models/ and clicks on the $19 or $29 button.

This launches a javascript based 3rd party popup modal (Cleeng) so the user can create an account and complete purchase.

After the purchase is completed on the popup modal, they are redirected to: Sobekick.com/thank-you

If the user comes in via the affiliate link, and lands on the /thank-you page, we know a sale has been completed and the affiliate would get paid a flat fee $ amount.

We are looking to have it where anytime the sobekick.com/thank-you page is shown, it shows up on the affiliate software as a completed sale.

    Does this make sense?

      Hi Mark,
We can create a shortcode and set this shortcode in your thank-you page, so if an affiliate cookie exists, then this affiliate gets a commission. But if we do not have any extra information on the page, how can we prevent an affiliate from visiting the thank-you page several times and generating several referrals?

We are not using a plugin since it’s a JavaScript. We are paying a flat fee and could simply track if user ends up on confirmation page, they got there from making a ourchase (flat fee to affiliate).

How can we tell the system that if XYZ url is triggered (confirmation) affiliate earns commission?

      Hi,
You could use our API code to implement your own solution.
I guess your xyz address has some parameter about the purchase. If you tell me any more information, I can try to help you implement the solution.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi Mark,
Once the user has visited the affiliate link, the system registers the visit and can recognize the affiliate, so it would not be necessary to addthe affiliate param in the url when he returns from Cleens. But we would need to have information about the order, in order to generate the commission.
Are you using any plugins for cleens? If you can give us some account for tests, I could review it.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
