Updating affiliate information glitch

Hi guys,

Trying to streamline a bit user accounts and affiliate accounts. When you update the affiliate e-mail. The page refreshes and says “Saved”, however the e-mail field still displays the old value. You have to refresh the page another time to display the right data. This is a bit confusing. It only happens with the email field though, as the first name and last name seems to update right away.

Can you fix this?

Also, we’d like to only allow affiliates to change their e-mail without the name and last name information. However when we do not display these fields, the first_name and last_name disappears from the usermeta if the affiliate save the data.

Can you also make sure that if the first name and last name fields are not displayed it does not delete the value existing?

Also, it seems that Affiliate fields are synced with WP fields, so if I edit the first name and last name from the affiliate profile shortcode, it will update the first name and last name of the WP user. However, if you change the first and last name from the WordPress profile, it will not update the affiliate fields.

Can you check that too?

Thanks!

Kind regards,
B

    Hello Antonio,

I can confirm there is a problem with loosing the first and last name.

I have set up a fresh install for you and sent your credentials at support@itthinx.com

    URL : http://dev.baamholdings.com/my-account

    Steps to reproduce the problem…

    1) Go to your account (http://dev.baamholdings.com/my-account)
    2) Click on “edit your password and account details”
    3) Make sure to enter a first and last name
    4) Go to the second Affiliate Profile page (http://dev.baamholdings.com/affiliate-profile-2/)
    5) Change your affiliate email
    6) Go back to your account and click on “edit your password and account details”
    7) First and last name are gone.

Any progress about the e-mail glitch?

    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    B

    Hello Antonio,

Seems like this is working. Not sure why it didn’t when I tested it.

Have you found a solution to update only the affiliate email from the affiliate dashboard without loosing the first and last name?

Have you found a solution for the e-mail not updating on page refresh?

    Kind regards,
    B

    Hello Antonio,

Sorry I forgot to mention I was updating the first name and last name from the WooCommerce “My Account” page on the front-end. We’re not allowing any users to access the backend except our staff.

Are you able to confirm that if you do not display the first name and last name the values are deleted when you update the affiliate e-mail?

    Waiting for your feedback.

    Kind regards,
    B

      Hi Bastien,
1.- I visit My Account page.
2.- Click on the “edit your password and account details” link.
3.- I edit my name and surname, and save.
4.- Then I visit my affiliate area, and I can see my new name and surname.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi Bastien,
the issue with the email seems a problem with priority, we’ll check it.
Relating to the first and last name, I have not this issue. If I update the first/last name from my profile page (on dashboard), and then I visit my affiliate-area (with the affiliates_fields shortcode), I can see the new values.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
