Use own PayPal code instead of shortcode

Posted in

I’m using Groups + Groups PayPal + Subscriptions. Need to use my custom PayPal code (using radio buttons) instead of the shortcode. Is there a way I can use my PayPal button button ID with the shortcode, or is there a way to use my custom code instead of the shortcode?

Thank you for looking into this.

Also, I am having an issue with the shortcode attributes, but will post the issue in a separate thread.

The plugin works beautifully. In this case, the client has brought me a completed design, which includes radio buttons to allow users to select which subscription level they want to purchase. That’s why I need to set it up this way.

Here’s an example that PayPal provides on how to use radio buttons to create payment options (scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the radio button option) – https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_pdn_xclick_options_help_outside

I have created the button exactly as I need to in PayPal using these instructions, but can’t integrate it with Groups this way.

If you have a filter I can use to substitute in my button for yours, that would be great.

Sidenote: We are using Groups as a full solution, including subscriptions, PayPal, and Forums. The products are good.

Thanks for explaining that, ok I think the filter suggestion would be an option, we could allow to modify/extend the form code itself with the HTML that renders the additional fields you require. Let me have a look at that and its implications and post an update.

Basically not, it’s not the intended use. What it does is render the appropriate forms and handle the workflow. The question is why do you even want to do that? Can you provide an example of the buttons?
