Affiliates Pro – Registration – Assigns Subscriber Role

Good day,

When a user registers using the affiliates registration that user get Automatically approved as a “Subscriber” and also has a pending role of “Affiliate”. When approving the pending role and the user logs in they automatically are signed in a subsciber.
How can we set the “Affiliate” Subscription to assign a pending “Affiliate Role” to the users dashboard.

Please advise how this can be resolved.

    Hello Will,
    The Subscriber role is automatically assigned by WordPress default when a new user registers on your website, regardless if it’s affiliate or not. This can be changed by going to WP Dashboard > Settings > General and choosing from the dropdown next to the field labeled New User Default Role. Again, this changes the role ALL users are assigned when registering to your site, not just affiliates.
    You can use this extension here -> https://github.com/itthinx/affiliates-role to add the role ‘Affiliate’ to newly registered affiliates.
