On upload a file (textfiles, images, etc.) i getting the error “Failed to persist file object.”.

Thanks for choosing Groups File Access as your file restriction tool.
The issue as you describe it, seems like something is going wrong when the new file-entry is added for the uploaded file.
Can you please enable WP debugging and repeat the process of uploading a new file via the plugin? Afterwards you may send the debug.log file to us via email using my personal address, george at itthinx dot com, mentioning the topic title in the mail subject.
