Getting errors on certain banner sizes

Posted in

Hi,

I am enjoying the plugin’s features, although occasionally certain images produce extra code which seems to break and cause errors. Here is an example. This code isn’t working for my affiliates. https://prnt.sc/n2gfe4 Am I doing something wrong?

I have also tried many different images sized 728×90 and none seem to work.

I understand the concept, but I have tried implementing the code (and several different banners) of the 728×90 size, and it doesn’t show the image. It only shows the file name. I’ve tried this on numerous websites.

I’ve tried implementing a 728×90 on this ad space (left). The ad should appear on left side where all the white space is https://prnt.sc/n2qkf1

This is what the ad should look like https://prnt.sc/n2qlos

As shown here, when I add the small banner, there is no issue. https://prnt.sc/n2qnao

      Hi,
Thank you for revealing the details. It appears I’ll have to take a look at your install to see what’s causing this behaviour, would you create a temporary admin account and send the credentials for it via email to help [at] itthix [dot] com? Please mention if it’s OK to enable/disable plugins and change the theme, as this might be needed when investigating the problem. If you have a staging site, that’d be even better, of course 🙂
      Cheers,
      Denitsa

    Hello,
I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the plugin so far 🙂
The extra code produced for the banner is from the srcset HTML attribute, which ensures responsiveness for the image. If you’re interested, you can take a look at this article (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/HTML/Multimedia_and_embedding/Responsive_images#How_do_you_create_responsive_images), where the whole concept is fantastically explained.
Therefore, there should be no errors that arise from that particular code – would you clarify this point a bit, e.g. provide a scenario of when an issue with the banner images occur and what is the nature of the error?
About the 728×90 complication, I tried creating a few banners of that size on my sandbox install and all worked well, would you describe the exact behaviour you’re getting to clarify the matter? Also, how do other sizes work for the banners?
    Cheers,
    Denitsa
