I have affiliate by username plugin active on my site but it is not using the username as part of they afilliate link

Previously when I registered an account upon welcome after logging in it would display the users link that’s not happening anymore Im curious as to why. Also the username is not being added as part of the affiliate link it is still using the default parameter and a number

    Hi Kevin,

You can reuse the email of a removed affiliate. If you go to Affiliates > Manage Affiliates and click on Remove. This is different than Pending Affiliate and Inoperative Affiliate that still exist on your system.

    Cheers,
    George

I think Im ok I was able to create a new account and then log in and when I revisit the affiliate area it shows me my link informaton. Is there a reason that I cant reuse an email to create an account even after it been deleted from the back end of the site?

    Hi Kevin,

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for providing access.

I’ve checked your Affiliate Area page and you used the shortcode correctly. In general, all shortcodes can be used with a simple copy/paste to your Affiliate Area page. You just visit the page afterwards as an affiliate to test the result.

FYI, i have also added admin as affiliate for my tests, you can now safely delete that account.

    Cheers,
    George

This shortcode and all the shortcodes described here should be placed in your Affiliate Area page.

    Cheers,
    George

Up until the shortcode part everything is fine. where do I place the shortcode to get the username feature to work?

    [affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username]

    Hi Kevin,

Please make sure that you have installed the latest version of both plugins and check your settings, in case any of the conditions below apply. FYI, the latest versions for your plugins are Affiliates Pro 2.18.1 and Affiliates by Username 2.1.1:

The affiliate account exists for this user under Affiliates > Manage Affiliates. For this you should also enable the Filters to Include removed affiliates, Include pending affiliates, Include removed affiliates
The affiliate is still operative, if you edit the affiliate and set the Until date to a value greater than today’s date
The affiliate is active, if the Status field is set to Active
The shortcode for rendering the affiliate by username is used like this:
[affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username] and the username is rendered properly in your Affiliate Area page.

If none of the above solves your issue, please let me know.

    Kind regards,
    George
