With the formidable forms integration there is a way to choose the amount and currency of a form submission and send this into affiliates pro. Is this possible to do with the Ninja forms integration? I can’t see a way to do this…

I think this is a question for Ninja Forms support.
Affiliates system will get the submitted data and add a referral if applicable. Whether the referral is set to grant an amount or a rate, the currency will be retrieved by the form settings.
If you noticed at the form settings in Affiliates action, at the bottom there is the currency indication. You can see that in the screenshot of our documentation page.

By the sound of it then, there is no way to have on the form: a number field and a separate currency field, both of which can be sent to affiliates…. correct?

The used currency would depend on the currency used by the form. For example in NF settings, in your Dashboard under Ninja Forms > Settings you can set the Currency.
