Registration attempt blocked: this site requires a security token created when the page loads for all registration attempts. please ensure javascript is enabled and try again.

I have set up the relevant pages for affiliate registrations but when the form is filled I get this message:

REGISTRATION ATTEMPT BLOCKED: This site requires a security token created when the page loads for all registration attempts. Please ensure JavaScript is enabled and try again.

I can see it is a conflict with word fence recaptcha and have added the Affliliates add-on for recaptch v2, but it is still not working.

I really do not want to compromise my security over this.

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks,
Nathan

Following-up on this matter after checking the situation locally.

As it seems the user registration is successful but the affiliate registration fails. Regardless of that I’ve created a simple plugin you can use which will exclude the affiliate registration process from Wordfence reCaptcha validation, so you will be able to have both validations active. Please have a look at the plugin found here and install it on your site. Once it is activated all your forms will use the Wordfence validation except for the affiliates registration form that will keep using its own implementation provided by Affiliates reCaptcha addon.
Please give it a try and let me know if the issue persists or not.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Nathan,

Does Wordfence provide any options to exclude specific pages or URLs from their embedded validation? If there is no obvious setting in its settings then it might also be necessary for you to check Wordfence documentation and reach their support channel. In the meantime I’ll have a closer look on my test installation when both validation options are present.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi Nathan,

    You’re welcome.

What is the output you get at the moment? Does the validation field show up? Also, what happens if you disable the Wordfence validation only for this form and use Affiliates reCaptcha addon for your affiliates registrations?

    Kind regards,
    George

The output I get at the moment is:

REGISTRATION ATTEMPT BLOCKED: This site requires a security token created when the page loads for all registration attempts. Please ensure JavaScript is enabled and try again.

When I disable the Wordfence reCaptcha options the Affiliates registration form works as expected. The big problem is, my wordpress login is now compromised and without reCaptcha, which I really do not want.

Is there a solution to having both plugins running at the same time?

    Hi George,

Thank you for the explanation, very helpful!

So, if I understand correctly, by removing the Affiliates reCaptcha add-on the Wordfence reCapture should work on the registration form?

I have tried this and it still does not work. Is there a way to include the Affiliates forms into the Wordfence reCapture? I really do not want to start compromising the security of my site.

    Many thanks,
    Nathan

    Hi Nathan,

Welcome to our support forum and many thanks for choosing Affiliates Pro as your affiliate tool on WordPress.

The Affiliates reCaptcha addon works independently from other reCaptcha solutions or in other words even if you didn’t use any sort of reCaptcha validation for any of your site’s forms, the affiliate reCaptcha would appear for the affiliates registration form. For this reason IMO the easiest way would be to disable the validation deriving from Wordfence and use the Affiliates reCaptcha for the affiliates registration form. The other option you could use is obviously the opposite but in this case you need to integrate Wordfence’s validation to the affiliates registration form and as a result in this case you don’t need to use Affiliates reCaptcha addon. Hope it is not confusing.

    Kind regards,
    George
