I am testing the functionality of the multi-tiered system with 25 levels in Affiliates Enterprise. All of the levels work great, thus far. My problem is when an affiliate registers, and makes a purchase during that initial session, commissions seem to function fine. When that affiliate logs off, comes back in and purchase the same item, no commissions are applied, except to Direct. Is there a one-and-done switch that I am missing? I have checked the affiliate login by going to the affiliate area to make certain it is logging as the right affiliate before making the purchase. Everything on that end seems fine.

Furthermore, another interesting option you can have is by using Affiliates Permanent premium addon, which allows you to create permanent associations between affiliates and customers. Whenever a customer makes a purchase on your shop even without following an affiliate link, or using an affiliate coupon, the permanent affiliate assigned will be granted with a commission.

The most probable reason why the direct is getting the commission instead of the affiliate you are expecting, is because the cookie is no longer stored in the browser. As long as the cookie is stored, then the respective affiliate will get a commission. In other words, you should check the browser cookies and if the affiliate cookie is not there, then the affiliate should use his/her affiliate link. Alternatively, the affiliate can get a commission if one of his affiliate coupons is used for the order. In general and in order for an affiliate to refer themselves, the necessary options should be enabled under Affiliates > Settings > Referrals. These are Allow auto-referrals and auto-coupons but I’m expecting at least the first to be enabled on your setup, since your affiliates can auto-refer themselves as you described.
