Affiliate sign up but

When a new affiliate signs up they are being assigned as a sub-affiliate to an existing user even though they have not been referred. I have a tier system set up (regular affiliate 20%) tier 1 sub 5%.

What do I need to change in order for a new affiliate to be stand alone and not auto-linked to someone?

Here is the affiliate sign up link: http://www.stepandgo.com/affiliate-area/

Thanks!

Thanks Antonio. We need to sign up the affiliates ourselves.

If use the portal cookies make the new affiliate a sub to a random affiliate.

If I sign up myself via the back end: affiliate- manage affiliate – add affiliate – it still signs up as a sub and assigns a random person. Plus I can’t see the password to pass along.

How do I sign up a stand alone affiliate?

Thank you so much for your help!

      Hi,
sorry but I can not see this.
      I have tested:
      – Create a new affiliate from dashboard (itthinx2). It is created and not assigned to someone.
      – Create a new affiliate from frontend using another affiliate url. Itthinx3 created and assigned itthinx2 as referrer.
So the referrers seems to work fine.
Relating to password, if you want to create an affiliate from dashboard that the affiliate will can logged in, you should first create the wordpress user (here you can set the password), then you can create the affiliate using the username.
      cheers

    Hi,
please be sure you haven’t a cookie “wp_affiliates” created.
I have created a new affiliate “itthinx” and it has not assigned another affiliate.
    cheers
