Pixel Tracking

Does anyone know if there is anyway I can monitor pixel conversions?

I have added an iframe to a page on my site with a pixel and was wondering if there was anything I could do with the affiliates enterprise plugin to record it similar to how an affiliate ID works?

thanks in advance,

James

Just an update on this, we now have a new shortcode in the latest release which allows to show code that affiliates can use, image and iframe-based pixel tracking.

The [affiliates_pixel] shortcode produces the image tracking pixel code, and [affiliates_pixel type="iframe"] the iframe tracking pixel. Both can be used as an extension to the default affiliate area or within a separate page or section. We will update the documentation to include these, too.

Affiliates can deploy an iFrame Pixel on the site where the tracking pixel is to be used. The way to show this to your affiliates is by using the following example code in your affiliate area – IMPORTANT : copy & paste it by using the Text mode of the editor:

    <h2>iFrame Pixel Tracking</h2>
Use this code to embed the tracking pixel:
    <code>&lt;iframe src="[affiliates_url]" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" width="1" height="1"&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;</code>

Is there anyway I can add my own dynamic Url on the backend rather than having a generated one? If you look at the link above (dynamic) if I could add that manually and track it using the same affiliates pro platform that would be amazing

    Hi George,

thank you for the quick response again.

the URL will be something like this .uk/p.ashx?o=2425&e=328&t=TRANSACTION_ID

so not sure I would be able to track it through here… or can this be done?

    thanks

    Hi James,

I’ve got two ideas for you.
Although it sounds a bit basic, you could simply use another affiliate link and make it hidden ( with css for instance) to track the hits through the affiliates system by using the Hits counter.

My other idea would be to use a third party tracking system for that extra pixel/link whatever your concept is. You can use a service like
    this http://blog.clickmeter.com/email-opens-page-view/

    Hope these help you
