Cannot update Affiliates WooCommerce Integration

Hi there,

We have Affiliates Pro plugin and we cannot update Affiliates WooCommerce Integration version 1.6.0 to the version 2.0.0, instead we got this message:
“The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions”

Perhaps this update requires something specific related to file permissions, because we have an additional 38 active plugins and we are able to udate them without any error.

    Hi Steve,

    As the issue indicates, the file or folder permissions don’t allow the update to take place.
    Please have a look at your web server and check the permissions for affiliates-woocommerce folder and the files inside it. If you set the same permissions for this plugin the same way like other plugin folders you should be ok with the update.
    I’m quoting from the WordPress Codex:

    All directories should be 755 or 750.
    All files should be 644 or 640. Exception: wp-config.php should be 440 or 400 to prevent other users on the server from reading it.
    No directories should ever be given 777, even upload directories. Since the php process is running as the owner of the files, it gets the owners permissions and can write to even a 755 directory.

    If this process doesn’t solve your issue, please let me know.
