Your affiliate system creates duplicates when digging through the network tree, the duplicates are identical and are put on the first level, see a screenshot from the database. The expected functionality is that each level in the tree gets its referral and avoids creating duplicates.

I made two test orders referred by my affiliate URL, first buying a product from the category with ID 53 and then buying a product from the rest of the catalog, in order to get commissions from both your rates.
The results are the following:
For the first order there are three referrals. The third one relates to the user registration commission which according to your settings found in Affiliates > User Registration, is 0.
The next is for the level 1 tiered commission and equals the 4% of the order while the first one is for the OR and equals to 50% of the order.
Something similar happens for the second order, where obviously the referral for the new user registration is missing because I used the same user details during checkout. The commissions are different but again are calculated according to the rates specified, 25% for the OR and 1% for the level 1 tiered commission.
The important thing is that there is no duplicate recorded, so if the issue occurs only for a specific affiliate, please let me know to have another test.

Hi Patrik,
You may create a staging clone of your site and provide us with temporary admin access to your Dashboard and the hosting server. If there are any IP restrictions for the staging site, you may disable/remove them for the duration of my review.
Afterwards, you can share the access credentials and even create the temp admin account using, george at itthinx dot com.

It is only in backend – when a user places a order – under someone in the affiliate tree – it creates a duplication of the affiliate refferal in the database for the no1 in the affiliate tree – even if the user that places order is ID59 ..

As for the duplicate referrals, do you also get duplicate records on Affiliates > Referrals or only on the frontend, assuming that you are rendering the affiliate tree via [affiliates_tiers] shortcode.
