What is the procedure for upgrading. I noticed there is no automatic ‘update now’ link under its description in the plugins list in wordpress admin and no ‘woothemes helper’ type plugin to allow automatic updates for licensed copies.

For Affiliates Pro and Enterprise below 2.6.0 the upgrade is manual and you will find the instructions in the readme available in the Downloads section. From 2.6.0 automatic updates require the Itthinx Updates plugin and it will show the update link when they are available.
