WP-Affiliate to Affiliate Pro

I have used WP-Affiliate for years, but now I am migrating to Woocommerce and have purchased Affiliate Pro.

If I am database savvy, is there a way for me to insert data I extract from WP-Affiliate into Affiliate Pro and not require my affiliates to change their affiliate id, making their transition effortless?

      Hi Edward,

We’re discussing the possibility to add an option which should make this easier – I assume that if we add an option to adopt the user ID as the affiliate ID where possible, that should make it compatible. Please let us know if this still comes in time and we’ll try to add this so you can use it.

      Cheers

    Hi Edward,

I haven’t used WP-Affiliates and haven’t tried it before but if you can export your affiliates list, you can import it using Affiliates Import. There is a detailed description on how to set your import file. You might need to tweak affiliate ids but since you’re database savvy, it won’t be hard.

Your other option would be to export the affiliates table from WP-Affiliates, modify the structure and import it to wp_aff_affiliates table. On that case don’t forget to have a look at wp_aff_affiliates_users, it’s the table that connects an affiliate to a user.

In both cases I would recommend you to try this in a staging site and after finishing the process, try to register a few new affiliates through the registration form and check that the affiliate id auto-increments properly.

    Kind regards,
    George
