Groups File Access plugin released

Groups File Access is a WordPress plugin that allows to provide file download links for authorized users. Access to files is restricted to users by their group membership.

To be able to download a file, a user must be a member of a group that is assigned to the file. If an access limit has been set for the file, the user must also have accessed (downloaded) the file fewer times than the file’s access limit.

    Hi
    I just purchased the pluggin
    works fairly nicely Thanks
    I had two questions :
1 – when click a file how to “open in a _blank tab” instead of a “save as” ?
2 – is there a way to use FTP and sync with file interface ? because the web interface is limited to 2Mb 🙁

Thanks for your help and great work

    1. Hi Tibor,

Thanks for using it 🙂 Regarding your questions:

#1 You can try right-clicking the link and choose to open in a new tab, but it will depend on the browser settings and the type of the file, if it will actually be opened in a new tab or the ‘save as’ option is provided.

#2 It’s not a limitation imposed by GFA but by your web server. In the Setup section see Serving large files on what you need to adjust so you can use bigger files.

      Cheers
